Since the first contest ended so quickly (it ended in roughly 6 hours), I've posted a second contest. The contest begins January 5th at 9pm EST / 6pm PST (tonight, in about 3 hours).

This contest requires little problem solving skill. It's practically a straight scavenger hunt. Find the characters from the movie, take the information they give you, create the winning phrase.

The contest is running. I've verified all the clues are now publicly viewable... If you find them.

How do you find a clue and not know it? lol

If you view a page that contains a clue, the system records it.

The system has no way of knowing as to whether or not you've actually read the page, or comprehended the clue. It only knows that you've looked at a page that contained a clue.

I agree with DarkFairie, I have two but didn't see them and isn't there a phrase or something your supposed to get? How do you get it if you didn't see the clue???

I am with you if you did not see the clue how do you know what it is LOl. I am confused now. yet, I am having fun at it so nothing lost LOl

If you view a page containing a clue, it won't help you solve the phrase. However, you'll at least have an idea of what pages you've viewed so you can backtrack and find the clue.

This doesn't make sense, if you view a page with a clue on it and yet it doesn't record the clue, and you don't check the standings of the competition regularly, how can you back track to view the pages? Especially if you log out and then log back in later?

This would mean that you'd have to check the standings of the competition after every single page view in order to even begin to fathom as to where and what the clue is in order to piece it together.

Any suggestions???

i would recommend going to a section and going threw it. check the standings and if you veiwed it go back the pages...

comes back.....loooks and only a few with 3 clues found them.

Are the clues only withint VampireRave, or are the other Dark Network sites game as well?

are all the clues located with a picture? or is that something I should not be asking?

I'm also starting to wonder if they're just on Vampire Rave or all over the Dark Network....I logged into Power Punks and the Sci-Fi Section and the contest info was on the main page of both of them too....

well that is something to think about. although i thought it said through out VR not the dark network.

That would have put you up at 5 and you're not.....so I don't think that you found one. You may have found another one while toggling from here to there though... I am not saying you didn't find anything any where. LOL

LOL this is kinda like a Scavanger Clue Contest LOL yet, it is fun trying to find them and alot of pages viewed LOL

All clues can be found within Vampire Rave.

Some pages are duplicated on other Dark Network sites. If a clue is on one such page, the clue will also appear on other sites. However, you can find every necessary clue within Vampire Rave.

EVERY clue contains a picture of an actor from the movie Daybreakers. It, when examined closely, will be OUT OF PLACE on the page.

You will need all the clues to solve the contest phrase.

To anyone who is listed on the standings page as having uncovered 4 clues, did you actually eyeball all 4 clues?

I actually "eyeballed" all of mine as well. I had to take a break from looking for awhile though, I'm stumped and my eyes are going buggy lol.

This contestis actually more fun because of the challenge to find the clues and then to sort them and place them correctly , I love these kinds of contest or scavenger hunts as I call them LOL

I don't need a coffee mug that badly LOL!

I agree with the comment above. I've given up, takes too much time and I don't have that much to spare.

I think the last clue has been lost.

It's hidden in the deep dark recepticles of the site. There has been NO page untouched by my cursor......... or so you would think! It is out there........ it must be found!!!

The mugs will not be offered for sale. However, I will be giving them away from time to time via site contests.

RavenKnight's is getting shipped out today, so you'll have to bug him about what it's like ;)

There will be more contests run in the future. I'm examining different ideas, and hope to run a contest at least every other week.

Also, in regard to the mugs, a few VR members got them last year. Members who showed up at Vampire Rave's booth at Bats Day. I think RazTheHallowedAngel was one of the members who got one.

They were bought as promotional giveaways, not for resale.

VR won't have a booth at Bat's Day this year, but I will be there promoting.
