Yesterday, in a system message, I announced the next site contest will be starting on January 19th at 9pm EST. We're going to start part of this contest early, as it has several stages.
Everyone is eligible for this contest, however you're going to find that it favors (heavily) premium members.
This contest is a profile design competition. I will be selecting 10 member profiles as finalists. You MUST submit your profile in order for to be considered by me as a finalist. Do not message me. If you want to enter your profile into the competition, enter it here:

Your profile will then be put on a list that I will personally review. I will be selecting 10 finalists on January 19th. At 9pm EST on the 19th, site voting will open up. It will work very similar to a poll. However, in order to prevent fraud, there will be a few voting requirements:
You can only vote once. Your vote is tied to your member name, so you must be logged in to vote.
You can only vote if you're level 10 or higher.
Voting will conclude on January 26th at 9pm EST. Voting will be open for one week. I'll be posting the link to the voting page on the 19th.
The contest prize:
A 6 month premium membership, membership extension, or gift.
A Vampire Rave Hoodie (limited to sizes in inventory).
Other assorted VR merchandise, including pins, pens, cards, stickers, etc.
If you are the contest winner, the prize package will be shipped to you free of charge, anywhere in the world.
All members are eligible for this contest. You've got 1 week to snaz your profile up. You can submit it for consideration now, but I will not be reviewing profiles and selecting the finalists until the 19th.

Nice Idea Prince, but You should make it a little more fair...choose 10 Premium and 10 Basics for seperate contests...otherwise Basic membership doesn't stand a chance of even being in finalist |

I am also curious on the browser you will use to view the profiles due to the fact that IE supports a larger amount of working codes available to us members that I have seen. |

I use Firefox. I'm not going to use multiple browsers to choose the finalists. Plus, when it's opened up to general voting, all kinds of browsers will be used.
Firefox is the most widely used internet browser.
I plan on selecting a few free member profiles as finalists. The rest will be up to the voters. |

The only thing that is rendered in IE that is not rendered in standard complaint browsers is the scrollbar CSS. Even then IE 8 now offers a "standards" interface and will ignore non standard coding.
If you know how to use CSS you can make your CSS coding work in both IE and FireFox (thus other standard browsers) |

Cancer, I have some questions.
1. Will all profiles, both free and premium, have the same "grading" standards by you to make the final cut?
2. Are you going to be looking for content or the overall layout? (Are you going to read it or look at flashy stuff?) I feel weird asking that of you!
3. If you are "grading" on different standards since it would be kind of foolish to not expect more from premium members, are you going to be looking at our CSS layout? Meaning are you going to be looking to see how we utilize what benefits are granted to us?

I'm sorry I came off wrong. I didn't mean to.
I meant for picking the finalist or another way of putting what I meant is evaluating profiles to be finalist.

Anyone can make a profile rock, Free or Premium. You just have to make it unique and stand out from the rest. Just take your time. These are the HTML tags you are allowed to use. So be creative and take your time, you should never rush a work of art! |
