I am honored to serve in the administration of Vampire Rave. It is my pleasure to assist all members if and when I am able to do so.
I am a quiet, private person, but happy to meet new people. I work doing various things related to teaching, social justice and public policy analysis. This is an accurate description of me in that these things consume most of my time.
I can't name a favorite band. I appreciate all good music. Some music resonates with me, while other music really doesn't. I am sensitive to small changes in songs. Sometimes I will like a whole song because of a particular chord progression, or a melancholy pad, or a flat note. You get the idea.
I am interested in all sorts of people. I really don't mind what peoples beliefs, orientations to issues, politics, etc. are as long as they are articulated with some relationship to reality.
I like to discuss controversial issues, but I think a good debate has to be based on mutual respect, not catty little comments. I don't discuss things to any great degree with people who assert uninformed, negative, or unnecesarily inflammatory opinions.
One thing sorely lacking in this world is people's general ability to tell the truth. Not just about "big" things, but all things. I am honest as a general characteristic, but also honest as a practiced daily choice. That is not to say I am not tactful or kind, but rest assured, if I say something, I mean it. I don't really understand people who just talk and talk, yet really actually have nothing to say.
I strive for a quiet mind and a restful soul. Most of my life has been agitated, but I feel good with where things are now. Quiet time and meditation are important to my life.
Life is about all of us together; you be you, and I'll be be me. I can handle YOU if you return the favor.
