There's already been talk of a Wales meet-up, but that seems to have gone down the pan a little. Perhaps something more central, like Manchester, would be easier for people.

Both me and my husband would love to go to a new London meet-up to meet with old friends.
It is not that hard to organize. Ben Crouch Tavern is an excellent suggestion. It is very central and easy to find. Furthermore it has a great atmosphere and it is not to expencive with drinks.
There are exellent low cost B&B's nearby and they are not overbooked from late August till late November or Early Feburary till late May so there are plenty of opertunities.
I'm in Wales (Swansea to be exact) and would be intersted to going to a meet up. London would be fine for me, I know there quite few hostels there that are cheap..around £20 pounds per night, sometimes with brekkie thrown in:)

Sounds good for the 3 days and i'm up for the a trip the the British Museam as well:) Don't put my name down yet until i clear my calendar and ck with work. I'll get back to you asap.

I wish I could go...ooooo, time to buy more lottery tickets and if I win a few friends and I will see you there. One never knows, as anything is possible :)
It sounds like a good idea, and The Revenant and I might be up for it depending on finances. I think we've got that first weekend in november booked off already so work wouldn't be an issue, but we were planning on decorating the flat and doing xmas shopping...Is this tavern anywhere near that big market which does the goth type stuff? I don't know much of London, being a northerner myself!
Sounds great I think I've been to that pub before last time I was in London, i know I'm a newie but I'd still love to join in, if I can get the time off work that is.
This sounds great, I'll have to ck with work when i'm back next week (on hols right now) plus sounds like i'll have to get my pic somewhere in my profile:)
Yes I think LONDON too 'cause it's such a brilliant place and there's always lots of fun to be had there. It's often cheap and easy to get to and from London aswell from many locations.
Hmm I'm already going to London around the 9th of October, don't know if I can afford to go back so soon afterwards.....!??!
i love the sound of a UK meet up london sounds good but i love the idea of meet up in glasgow , i will deff go let me know where and when

Then again there's always Edinburgh ;) it's a beautiful city you know, and I wouldn't have to go anywhere :p
Ohh those pics brings back memories. We will do what we can to make sure we attens, my husband and I.
Crowgirl, I would love to go to the british museum, sounds like a blast. So much to show Tore.
This will be another great one for the books.
Sounds great to me, I've just gotta clear it at work. I'll know for certain next week when I'm back from hols:)
ok we are talking the 1st of Nov correct , central london
For how many days are we talking here, one, two, what? Thing is the moment I set foot in London, my money usually tends to evaporate.
so do you need to come to all three or what , i might not be able to do all 3 days as have son
the weekend after halloween normally really busy with halloween partys in pubs etc
i have never been in london or even anywhere near it , so info has to be correct and certain dont what to be going there and getting info wrong or get lost
It's surprisingly easy to find your way around central London
You don't have to come to all three if you don't want to/ can't afford it etc etc. Nearer the time, we'll be doing a thread with all of the info, including who's coming to what day etc etc, so you can check in and see if you want to go or not. :)
It is well worth it though. If we can fit it all in, we might stay a full week.
There is a realistic possibility I might be able to attend the London if it is held no earlier then November, for sure you have my full support for the event as I had the unique pleasure of attending one & I can tell you it's an unforgettable experience!
same for me i could attent if it was no earlier than nov later would be much better as i have alot on at halloween
Guess what kiddies? I fully plan on attending this one -- all arrows point to almost definitely! Assuming I am not held over at Heathrow of crimes committed, I see myself sharing a pint or so with some of my favorite people. Truth be told, not a moment too soon!
I live in good old yorkshire and have trouble with fundings being a new mum and all
I've already got my passport ready to be filed with more pages, etc..
If you have to do a meeting, do it no earlier then the second week of November at least...during the first weeks the airline prices are hyped up due to remembrance day and such...im my case by at least the double so to make it a no-go for me.
well im up for it im based in sheffield as long as its at a time not in my uni calender count me and my evil sis in lol
second week in nov would be much better for me !! just cant do halloween weekend to much to do at home with partys etc
Ok, shall we move the meet-up to the second week of november, as the majority would prefer it?
And a great time to show off the english tradition of god-awful woolly jumpers!!!!!! ;)
ok so the meet up is the second week of nov? In london? We should go on the Ripper tour! =] that would be amazing!
Deathmask? I LOVE you!!!! I never thought about the ripper tour!!!!! Can you imagine????? some people screaming, then this buncha odd people saying *Ohhhhhh, cool! that's where so and so died!!!!!* hahhahahaha!
We'll have to check prices and such. Who else would be interested in this tour and on what day?
Oh hell -- okay 2nd week Nov? Im back in Maybesville. It's close to Thanksgiving and with my possible promotion, I may not be able to put in for the time. I must see if I can pull the old "I already bought the ticket" excuse...
Definitely won't be able to come on the second week, back in work then. Oh well, have fun, those of you who go! :-D
If it has to be on the second week then I propose the 7th to 9th November for a 'WEEKENDER'.. what do you all think? We'll set the venue's as the Ben Crouch Tavern & The worlds end pub in Camden. :)
Okay, a weekend of flying and no sleep -- actually, I think I can pull that off! here's the first actual payoff from my insomnia! *goes to look up flights*
Well I'm possibly going to Whitby for Halloween, so I'd like a London meetup on maybe November 2nd or 3rd?

Yes, so far these dates seems perfect Yendor....Gawd this is going to be so funny.
Yendor's dates sounds great to me and oh yes, i'm up for the 'ripper' tour!
Since there seems to be a consensus on the basic aspects of this upcoming meeting,
might as well make try make this all official.

I hope this link works!
so if everyone wants to take a look at this and post here on what they think! =]
This tour sounds great, especailly with the limited amount of people allowed on 1 tour. Have we got any idea of the number of people going to the meet up yet as if we are over 20 people we can book for a private tour:)
it sounds good crow me the lil'n and deathmask should be able to make it if money problems dont arise
is there any cheap to stay round about there
looked online but could only find rooms starting at £200 per night per person , this is a bit out my price range
are these two places anywhere near each other
need street names postcodes etc , and poss places to stay near venue , also need to know which airport is best to fly into
your best bet is to find some back street bnb there generally good and cheap.
I know I'm not coming to this one but I'm still following the thread with interest. Regarding accommodation, I know there are two Formule One 'hotels' in London; quite how far from the meeting place they are I don't know, but I thought if someone's coming by car they may be good to know about. They're around £30 per night - very basic but comfortable, I've stayed in a few in Europe.
Here's the addresses:
Formule 1 London Thurrock M25
Weston Avenue,
West Thurrock
Grays
RM20 3JQ
Formule 1 London Barking
Highbridge Road
Barking
IG11 7BA
And this is the Formule One website if anyone is interested.
Thats good to know Maledicta cheers i will check them out,
There's a few good hostels around as well but you have to book well in advance:)
Are some flying all the way from the states just to be here. Cool...who..
This meet-up will be great for sure, I can hardly wait.
