If vampires ever existed, how old are there ancestors?

I meant their in the question..

Most of the Folklore legends, place Vampirism into the 1200 ac. mean, these folks are old and their blood line still exist today, as we speak. The misconception about vampires came after Hollywood started making movies and portraying them as something totally not real. Vampirism is a way of living, not an eternal concept.

If vampires are a cursed soul they really can't die and thus are eternally old.
