Last night, I was on a tiny train perron
On a secluded area by the west coast of danmark
A, what I assume, drunken man,
Is sleepin on one of the 3 benches there and I am
The only other there.
I spot the train arrive and I bow to grab my bags and
As I get up I see that he has walked up and is dangling out
On the tracks.
I wasnt frozen, I was just about to yell out to him
While considering if I had time to run out there and push him
Off the tracks on the other side.
Without my dog running after me getting involved.
Instead, I stood and watched, almost fascinated
Rushes of thoughts in my head. Intrigued
Is he suicidal? Is he just drunk and wanting to get away
From the area?
The train is arriving and is now seconds from the
Perron. But at slower speed as it is stopping by the button
I pushed. I knew he would make it.
I see him take the last step over the tracks and the train arrive and
I go in. He made it.
Dissapwsred into the wilderness on the other side.
But I guess if you wanted suicide. You wouldnt do it at the perron.
Unless u be sure it's a fast running through train.
I figured he was dead drunk or on something.
I cannot help but wonder about
Why u did not act. Why I felt so confident he would make it
What if he hadn't and I had just done nothing
Let him hurt himself in my sight
I wasnt frozen
