Darkness Is Not Evil
When the term 'Darkness' comes up a lot of people tend to think of things like evil, controlling, demonic, depression, anger, but that's not always the case. They are not the same thing. Just as 'Light' is always thought of as pure and saving that's not always true. Light can be just as corruptive. People use it to make you feel like **** and make themselves seem far beyond those around them. As if they are a god themselves. Light and dark are good or evil, they are different ways of perceiving yourself and the world around. One is not more correct than the other, they cannot exist without each other, and they most certainly are not more powerful than one another. They make the universe stable. Ying and Yang. You cannot have life without one or the other. I happened to be consumed by darkness. That does not make me evil. I am not a demon. I do not need to be "saved". I see the true intentions of the world. All of the lies, the deceit, the betrayals. True I do tend to hold on to things far beyond the point of where I should probably just accept it and life my life, but I refuse to blind myself to the imperfections of life. You cannot just forget everything that happens and live like they never existed to begin with.Now with this next part, there's going to be disagreements there's just no fighting it. I believe that darkness gives you power, motivation, and above all it gives you something to fight for. That being said I think that light is a complete crutch when taken too seriously. It is always portrayed as purity, but if you look closely it's also laziness. They don't do anything. They just stand there and throw words at you. Never lifting a finger for anything. They believe their fate is already determined and no matter what they do they will reach their goal no matter what they do. These are usually the people who walk everywhere and tell their stories to random strangers. But again, this is light at is maximum.Darkness is a motivator, requires you to fight for your goal. Makes you physically and mentally stronger. Toughens you up in every way so that you can reach your goal no matter what it takes. Deadens the holder emotionally, mentally, and physically so that nothing phases them. The ultimate fighter. It is not pleasant, but it's effective.However, this is when they are taken at their maximum. No matter which one YOU follow you must allow a small glimmer of the opposite as to not loose oneself. There are times where that sliver may disappear, seem like it's gone forever, but it's not. It helps keep the balance in your life and keeps you from the brink of destruction. They are both corrupting. Powerful forces. Like a drug. A wonderful manifestation of one's hopes and dreams.That being said, my light is flickering. I am trying so hard to hold onto that one shimmering speck of light before delving into complete darkness. Only time will tell what actually happens to me, but based on pasted experiences it's not going to end well. Some days it's completely gone and I can feel the darkness thrashing inside. I made the mistake of going too far. I realize that now. I have no remorse and very little feeling about anything at all. I do not blame the darkness, I blame myself. Do no let either side "win". No matter what anyone tells you, you NEED both sides to survive.
