Nancy A. Collins (born September 10, 1959) is a United States horror fiction writer best known for her series of vampire novels featuring her character Sonja Blue. Collins has also written for comic books, including the Swamp Thing series, Jason Vs. Leatherface, Predator: Hell Come A Walkin and her own one-shot Dhampire: Stillborn.
Collins was born in McGehee, Arkansas, United States. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana in the 1980s; after time in New York City and Atlanta, Georgia she settled in Wilmington, North Carolina in the late 2000s.
Writing
Collins has written fourteen novels since 1989, most of which refer to and directly include races of creatures the author calls Pretenders, monsters from myth and legend passing as human to better hunt their prey. She is best known for her vampire character, Sonja Blue. Critics such as A. Asbjørn Jøn have noted possible intertextual links between the Whistler character in Blade (1998) and a character named Whistler in the Sonja Blue novel, A Dozen Black Roses (1996), as they possess "striking similarities in role, dramatic focus, visual appearance, and sharing the name".

I told my Daughter how her Mom blamed her cheating on her Great-Grandmother's rearing. How she said that she was taught to always have a 'Guy On The Side' because you never know what will happen with your 'Main Guy'.
My Daughter then said so that is why her Mother always told her not to keep all her eggs in one basket.
So her Mom has 3 kids from 3 different guys.
My daughter has 2 kids from 2 different guys.
So I simply told her I would have never raised them like that. I told her it's OK to date around or even fuck around if that's one's choice, but just be clear to people that's what you're doing. Then when one choose the one he or she wants to marry, that is saying no matter Who is in their Past, Who is in their Present and Who may come to be in their Future, they are with the person they CHOSE to spend the rest of their life with. Search is Over. No Entertaining anyone else. No Flirting. No "New" Friends of the Opposite sex. An Acquaintance is fine, but set those boundaries. That if she's not ready to make this type of commitment to someone, don't marry that person.

She too collects Native American art so I was surprised she was letting go of anything. I mean, yeah, I eyed a few pieces when I was there for Father's Day and jokingly told her the same thing she tells me whenever she visits The Warlock's Lair, "Don't blame me if this or that comes up missing"...LOL! I've given her the below two art pieces and I may just buy them again for myself. LOL!
- Then my Hellraiser Pinhead Acrylic Painting and Pinhead Herb Grinder showed up in the mail.
- Then I ate Pizza!!!
- I stepped on the scale and had lost more weight.
- Found a workaround to continue transferring videos from my phone to my hard drive.
- And now I'm medicating with some West Coast Cure Foreign Glue Live Resin Sauce and feeling really good. Really Good!
So, yeah, the Alarm System Technicians came out and upgraded my system for free as I said they would last week. Touchtone screen mad and it speaks to me. LOL!
They left, I armed it with the 'Stay' function and the system tripped itself and started blaring the alarm sound. I turned it off and called the guy and informed him that it's saying my office window was opened, but that it hadn't been. Also, it wouldn't re-arm while stuck in that status.
Luckily he was able to return with his Apprentice and they realized that the old sensor left installed over the office window was in some way interfering with the new sensor and so they removed the old one and the one they had installed previously and just installed a brand new one...again....just to be on the safe side.
So I just received a call from the VA Hospital about an hour away informing me that the appointment I had on Monday has been canceled due to staffing. That they will schedule me an appointment with a local civilian doctor local to me and that way I don't have to make the long trip North, which in all fairness they do reimburse for mileage (partial compensation for having to burn fuel to drive so far to keep the appointments).
Great!!!
So now the amount of money I would have had to pay in order to put fuel in the Hummer to travel there I get to keep. That means now I can purchase that small private island I've had my eye on. LMAO!!!
And of those 3..... 2 seem that they will ultimately require me requesting a refund due to lack of valid status, timely communication from the seller, and/or passed the Estimated Delivery Date.
I've made a career Tracking shit from all over the globe. This is light work. LOL!

So my Brother's (from another mother & father...lol) wife threw a High School Graduation Party for their youngest child on Father's Day having forgotten that Father's Day fell on the same day.
I was invited and spent 4 hours enjoying family time and good food.
This is what they wake up to each morning......Love It!
Yes, people do get distracted, but when you know you have a child around expensive stuff, if you don't have control of your child, just pull out a checkbook, credit card or be prepared to hopefully get approved for a loan in the amount that will cover the most expensive item in the area in which your child can possibly get to.
Parenting might not come with an Instructional Manual, but You'll Learn......smh
So update on the business that was on the potential chopping block.
I called them and just explained my logic. Hey, credit me for the 6 months of service you didn't provide and give me the equipment for free!!!!
Compromise: They have agreed to upgrade my equipment at NO COST, increase my bill by only $1 and some change and all I have to do is sign a 3-year contract.
I'm in the mood to fire another business and terminate their service.
Just because I changed another service to another business, you, a totally different business that I've been with for 18 years, is telling me my actions made your service equipment obsolete due to incompatibility, but I've had the other service changed for over 6 months now!
Oh, and now you're telling me that to have your service perform as expected, I'd have to sign a new 2-year contract, my bill increases by almost $5 and I'll have to pay $50 for the additional equipment you would need to send me to make your service perform as it had originally been purchased to do.
How about you give me credit for the 6 months of service I paid for which you weren't even capable to provide if required and ship me the equipment for "free" and no new 2-year contract. I'd be ok with the small increase.
Oh, and their "Upgrade" Equipment is valued at around $250 with touchpad technology, unlike the glow buttons, I have now. The other Equipment just to make their service work is what was $50 with a 2-year Contract.

If he is doing for his child and she is not using the child as leverage to make him do what she wants, then why would the State ever be needed to get involved in family affairs?
Either be the Live-In Care Giver you call yourself and has listed as such on government forms to care for your elderly family member who clearly can't care for themselves OR you're just living with them because you can't afford to live on your own and that family member is the only one that will allow you to live with them in their Section 8 Housing because they need someone's help even though your personality is so polarizing.

I remember on two (2) occasions when I was in my 20s where I could have died as a result of Driving While Drowsy.
Once, I swerved into another lane because I thought I saw a brick wall appear in front of my car. I was hallucinating.
The other time I was slowly drifting to the left and when I became alert, I was within arm's length reach of the side of a Semi-Truck. I swerved right to the shoulder of the road and stopped. When the truck finished passing, I found myself at a Rest Area Plaza.
That was the last time I ever drove drowsy. Now I check my ass into a motel or hotel and sleep.
My kids are always saying they don't know what to get the guy that has everything for Father's Day or later in the year for my Birthday....I don't celebrate X-Mas.
So I've made it easier for them. I send them a list of items with prices that they can pick from to either purchase individually or together and nothing is more than $30.00 and it's nice to have stuff I've just put off getting for myself.

This week in Congress: Burn pits back in the spotlight

WASHINGTON — House lawmakers will take up the issue of burn pits this week with a hearing focused on how much is known about troops health effects after toxic exposure to the waste fires overseas.
A series of lawmakers and veterans groups have pushed to revive the issue in recent weeks amid concerns that the problem — well-known to troops who served in Iraq and Afghanistan — has largely fallen out of the consciousness of the public and elected officials.
More than 141,000 veterans and current servicemembers have enrolled in Veterans Affairs’ Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry, which allows individuals to document their experiences and illnesses with the department.
But advocates say more attention needs to be put on the issue to ensure that veterans suffering from rare cancers and other illnesses don’t face a years-long wait for recognition of their injures. House Veterans’ Affairs Committee members will look into what other avenues might be available for that type of action.
I hope more people learn about all the weird chemicals our guys were exposed to out there. Hell one of my ex's is still suffering from the shit he breathed in over there.
