My Penis Story...Sorry for the long length ;)
There has always been a debate about the pros/cons of male circumcision. I’m not for it because I think it causes undue pain to a male infant and with good hygiene; there are good benefits for having foreskin. It can be a tough world for a glans (tip of the penis) -- there's abrasion from undergarments, cold winter weather and dry air. It's good to have a protection policy in place, and the foreskin provides that protection for the glans.
However, with my parents’ choice not to circumcise their son at birth and then my parents splitting up while I was a toddler and my mom taking custody, she was not really equipped (pardon the pun) to talk about living a life with a penis. In fact, she didn’t really address the issue until I hit puberty around 12 years of age. This was only due to a male who was concerned about a woman not really covering all the bases when attempting to raise two boys without a father or other male role model. So I remember the awkward call into the bathroom by my mom to address penis hygiene now that I was older, going through puberty and uncircumcised. Furthermore, the embarrassment of her request to let her see my male member at my age was a bit strange. Well the purpose was to show me the importance of pulling back the foreskin and properly cleaning. The problem this request uncovered was that she had FAILED to do it herself when I was much, much younger so the foreskin end point was small, but the glans was larger and I found it very painful to retract the foreskin over the head of my penis. So feeling badly, she once again turned to the advice of the male who then recommended that she have me rub it with olive oil daily until I could successfully retract over the glans.
Well the very next day while riding my bicycle, you know the ones with the center bar, yup I can see you know where this is heading (again..pardon the pun), well a young girl a little older than my age walking on the opposite side of the street had caught my pubescent attention resulting in my bicycle coming into contact with a fence after I had veered to the right a little, running up onto one neighbor’s lawn that did not have a fence and smacking into his neighbor’s property who DID have a fence. Well my bicycle wasn’t the only thing making contact with metal that day. The sudden stop sent me forward and I landed on the center bar.

As I turned around in pain wondering if the cutie had seen my accident, I noticed through the tears welling up in my eyes that she was no longer smiling at me, but laughing. Life was very cruel that day.
So as I limped (wink wink...pun) two houses down to my home, I went into the bathroom to inspect the damage. I then gathered myself together, went to my mom and reported that there was no need for the olive oil, the problem had been rectified. So thanks to the cutie pie walking in the hood, she gave me head..ur, ummm, I mean the ability to see the head of my penis.
So fast forward 12 years into the future. I was home on leave from Japan and reconnecting with my wife. Her not being on birth control, I buy some condoms because sex was on the menu and I was going to have my fill. Maybe I should have read the warning on the side of the box about the possibility of some being allergic to condoms containing spermicide. What was the outcome you might ask? Well, irritation so bad that I developed a very painful white patch which later developed into a tear in my frenulum . The frenulum, for those that do not know, is a piece of tissue that connects the foreskin to the glans. It looks (and functions somewhat) like the connective tissue beneath your tongue and the inner upper side of your top lip. Well after it healed with a hole now being visible, I went to a doctor and asked about the procedure to just disconnect the frenulum. After hearing the word “shot” and “no sex for two weeks” I left and felt it won’t be so bad to live with the hole. In fact, years later it is now a fad where some men are placing holes in it on purpose. The procedure is called a frenulum piercing. I even bought what is known as a frenum ring for mine since the hole was already there, however, I found no increase in pleasure with it.
Well over the years, however, it has been a minor annoyance that there was this thin piece of flash keeping my glans from being free and independent. So last night I took ice, a pair of cuticle scissors, alcohol, gauze, and band aids and successfully performed a self-operation disconnecting glans from foreskin with two snips of the frenulum. There was no pain, but there was a small amount of blood. I stopped the bleeding and made sure everything was done in a sanitary manner. I must say, it looks pretty damn good. A job well done!
