I can't just post a private entry and nothing else.. that's such a tease.

Or, not.. depends on who actually reads this.

Unfortunately I really have nothing to say.. except.. I'm starting to want every car I rent to have XM or Sirrius... although I still won't subscribe, having satellite radio while traveling through the rural south is just... necessary now!

Gah, had you not mentioned the south at the end, I may have punched you--lots of family in radio, but they're all northerners, thank goodness. :D

Doing network assessments in hospitals are.. eye opening, to say the least.

I swear I have seen more horribly, morbidly obese people in this hospital than I've ever seen in my life.

Walking through ICU's is... scary. Walking through NICU's and PICU's is absolutely heart wrenching. Seeing a new mother crying uncontrolably as a doctor explains all the things wrong with her baby... seeing tiny little lives starting with such an uphill battle... palm of my hand sized babies on life support... shivering within their almost transparent skin...

I need to go home and hug my kids... I can't get out of here soon enough this week...

Even more horrible, than the horribly, morbidly obese people you saw is the low self esteem which often is the root cause of this particular health problem.

Flight was delayed, again. Flight coming in with out pilots was delayed, therefore we were delayed.

And then it was O'Hare and the time of night when the last of the east-coast flights take off, so we had to sit on the runway and wait in line.

Then we land, after midnight, and as we taxi to the gate just about 50 feet from it the engines stall. The plane loses power and we stop short of the jetway. We sit there while they work on getting everything fired back up to make that last 50 feet.

Then of course my bag is the LAST one off of the plane. I swear that "PRIORITY" tag they put on my bags really means "put this one aside and don't let the bastard have it until all the other bags are gone."

I need coffee.... lots and lots of coffee...
