I close my eyes and im taken back, to the first day I met you. From a distance I looked at you. I was a skinny 13 yr old kid. I watched you walk thru the mall, your long flowing hair to your waist. I thought you looked alot like axl rose. lol , as you walked up to me, my heart was in my throat, we exchanged phone numbers, who would have thought just how much you would come to mean to me.We talked hours everyday, played music to each other, and began a journey together, hand and hand you and I faced whatever life threw our way, I close my eyes again, I hear the knock on my bedroom window, as you drove to my house to wake me up every morning, your mischievous laugh and you would be on your way to school, I close my eyes again, Im taken back to our summers together, riding around in your old dodge plymouth, red and primered gray, with 80's metal blasting, and the windows rolled down, driving along country roads, sitting on your mom's porch swing, just talking for hours. Being scared to death as I held onto you as we rode on your motorcycle. We grew up together in so many ways. Just 6 days older than me lol we shared birthdays and holidays and pretty much everday thru the years. We argued and faught, but always made up, you were alot to me, my boyfriend, my finace, my friend, and eventually my brother, we grew and changed so much. I never had to call out for you, you just knew and was always there whenever I needed you, as I would feel and just know when you needed me, its hard to beleive its been 11yrs now without you, you blew into my life at 13 and left it just as fast at 24..I cherish the time I had you in my life, I still feel how it felt to hold your hand, and I still feel your comforting hugs when you held me close.Your face, with eyes so bright, you looked like a young patrick swayze. At times I still hear your voice, I know you watch over me.You still guide me, and give me strength, when I lose my way. Now today on what would have been your 36 birthday, I light a candle for you. Remeber all we shared, and keep you close to my heart, until at one time our paths shall come together again.
