Let's talk Rise of the Resistance, the new Star Wars attraction at Disneyland! Francis and I went yesterday, we wound up just renting a room and staying minutes away from the park to make it easiest on us. Considering the news I had read for the ride on its opening day Friday and going through the weekend, we decided to get up at 6 and get to Disneyland by 6:30. And even though that was an hour and a half before they even opened, it was still late, as we found ourselves at the back of huge lines. They let people into the park around 7:15. Granted, you couldn't do anything save mill around on Main Street, but at least we were in. The thing about this ride is that you need a boarding pass to get on it right now. And the only way to get a boarding pass is through the Disneyland app (or using your ticket to scan in at one of the kiosks, but the app is the best bet). They open it up to get boring passes at 8, but you need to be in the park at that time, your ticket needs to be scanned in before you can request a pass. Considering how new the ride is, 3 days when we went, the passes have gone in minutes. They also restrict it another way. You may be able to get lucky and get a pass, but if you have a boarding group number past 80, the liklihood of you getting on is slim to non-existent. Anything past 80 is just considered standby if people don't show up and they have room to accommodate more groups. I got boarding group 69. Francis got 116. We didn't know we had to link our annual pass accounts to get on the same ticket. Hence the different group numbers. So, we wait until 3, when my group is finally called to get on the ride. Thankfully, the worker who was scanning people in at the line entrance took pity on us and allowed Francis to ride on my ticket, even though technically he wasn't part of it. So, seriously, so much love for Disneyland employees, especially those in Galaxy's Edge. They are amazing people. Anyway, we get into the line and everything's going well. However, when we were a room away from the front, the ride had to be shut down due to some technical issues (or in the script's case, a lot of First Order activity that was keeping things from going forward). Bless the poor girl who had to read that script, she kept making mistakes, but it's to be expected with new rides. They're still figuring things out. Anyway, we wound up stuck in line for an hour and a half. Thankfully Francis is pretty outgoing, so we made fronds with the young couple behind us, and the family in front of us. Nothing else to do when you're stuck next to each, other for a long period of time. They were nice people all around, we talked and played some games. Things finally started up again around 4:45 though and we were stoked. I'm not going to talk about the ride. I don't want to give anything away for anyone who may want to ride it. I will say, however, that it's amazing. It's an entire experience, with some walking and actors, and the rest on the actual ride part. It's track less, so that makes it far more fun. And, it's just so much fun. So exciting! It's going to be hard to top a ride like Rise of the Resistance. As we were getting off and walking out into Galaxy's Edge, there's a merchant cart set up at the exit, and again, mad props to the employees. The woman who worked the merchant cart saw us getting off and talking excitedly about it came up to us and asked if we had made it through the mission okay, and if the First Order was as awful as people said. It was fun to have that kind of interaction after the ride. So, I'm happy we were able to experience it, even with the delay, it was totally worth it.

It was also nice to get to Disneyland when it was out of the holiday season. I love when it's lit up for Christmas, but the Disneyland of my youth is that everyday version. We hit Space Mountain first, and it was old school Space Mountain, the one I remember from when I was a kid, riding it with my mom. The last time we went on it in December, it was Hyperspace Mountain and it was Star Wars themed, I assume to prep for the release of Rise of Skywalker. We also hit Star Tours, which was revamped with a Rise of Skywalker storyline. All in all, it was a great day. I got a souvenir Millennium Falcon, so that was awesome.

Today was my first day at the new job. I love it. It's easy and straight forward and I'm driving on my own most of the day, so that's a big plus in my book. I'm doing my training with Francis until Thursday, they want me to be alone on Friday, and then pick up training again on Monday in Downtown LA. So, that'll be interesting. I like the job, and I'm glad I went for it.

Lead reports. All the stupid lead reports. Do you know how many lead sources we utilize? It's a lot. But, that's all they have me doing at this point, just doing the lead reports for the last two months. This is such tedious, menial busy work.

Though, I suppose I shouldn't complain. They're giving me a full week's paycheck, when they could have easily just had me be done and gone on Monday. But man, this is the worst.

I can't get to sleep tonight. In my head I just keep singing Toss a Coin to Your Witcher and it's somewhat aggrivating. It's been in my head since I watched The Witcher on Netflix back on the 26th. That chorus, man, it's too damn catchy...

"Toss a coin to your Witcher
O’ Valley of Plenty
O’ Valley of Plenty
O’
Toss a coin to your Witcher
A friend of humanity"

Scaling down again, as I tend to do when I get bored with having multiple accounts. Currently I have four active profiles, two sires and two under 70. I'm probably just going to wind up deleting Victorum and Elysian. I'm going to hold on to my two Sires, as they are both lifetimes and one was given to me. I'd give it back to Mary before I gave it to anyone else. But, yeah, I'm only really ever active on this account so having all the multiple profiles is pointless.

I'm with you on that. I'd have to get rid of 5 other profiles LOL. I intend to. Soon. I'm not on here enough to warrant multiples.
