FAITH...
Once upon a time
In another place, another time
A completely different world...
Someone swore she would never
Ever, in the rest of her life,
Let herself fall in love.
It just wasn't worth
The amount of pain, the amount of shame,
In that completely different world.
She vowed to her love that she
Upon realising that she loved again,
Would rather open her veins,
And die...
Her hurt was too much
In another place, for another name
In a completely fucked up world.
She never knew that wasn't love
Til she realised, way too late this time
She'd let herself fall in love
Again.
The feeling now was strange,
With no amount of pain, and fuck all shame
A brightly enticing world.
She starts to remember now
How it should never hurt to love
She began to open her eyes
Smile.
This was always worth
That other place, that other time
Surviving that other world
Now realising she loved again
She vows to herself that she
Would learn to drown with him
To fly.
It seemed so long ago that she loved him
She remembers everything
About her ancient, distorted world
She broke an oath, wept inside
Realised that something inside had died
She couldn't believe how much love had made her
HAPPY
Soon she'll have forgotten
That other place and fucked up time
That awful, broken world
She can vow to her love that she
Always, for the rest of her life
Will keep her eyes wide open
And LOVE.
