Lashing out at who or what seems beneath us,

Enraged

Anguished

Tormented

Prolonging the pain and feeling ripped apart;

Too afraid of facing the reality that we fear,

Lonely tears

Silenced heartache

Quiet memories

Relinquish the power it has over you;

Give in to your heart,

Believe in what you deserve;

Fiery bands of orange,

Ribbons of red,

Swirls of blue;

The colors of my mind's eye,

Reflect what I feel inside.

My days are filled with confusion

While my heart is just an illusion.

Still stuck upon what I want

Versus what I need;

Constant motion,

Whispering breeze

Wanting to break the cycle,

Choose the less hurtful path;

Not faltering from what lies ahead

Can't control the echoes in my head.

Haunting my hearts core;

Something deep within me is trying to break free.

Unprovoked emotion,

Stifled by fear;

Taunting me with every last breath.

Protecting myself from the unknown,

Falling victim to my own desires;

Expecting things to fall into place.

Control is overpowering

Cease trying,

Be content.

One Last Breath

I feel nothing but utter contempt

Deep within my heart's core.

Longing with every breath,

To feel the pain no more.

My sadness is overwhelming.

It's getting difficult to breathe;

Darkness is closing in on me

As I sit here and watch me bleed.

Accepting what I feared ,

But hoping I was wrong.

Shame has taken over me,

Now it won't be long.

Serenity has all but faded,

Keeping bitter hope alive;

Taking all the life from me;

Unable to survive.
