I hope your Easter was amazing.
I'm wondering has you Mainers hides Easter eggs in the snow.

I was at the store yesterday and started looking through the seasonal section, when I came upon seeds and little grow kits for herbs and stuff.. I got excited because it will be time to plant soon. While hubby and I have had wonderful flower, succulent, and decorative plant gardens over the past few years, we used to grow vegetables and I grew up helping my parents plant, tend to, harvest, and store quite sizable gardens with a variety of plants. I loved and still love gardening, but have not planted anything edible in so long. This year I plan on growing herbs, vegetables, useful flowers and other plants that I can use while cooking, for medicinal purposes, disease prevention, health benefits, and various other great uses. I've always wanted to plant, then harvest and store multiple beneficial plants for my use and for those around me...and I miss fresh vegetables and how amazing they taste and make you feel.

I'm currently researching the benefits of herbs and other plants I'm interested in growing, so I can be sure to have plants for anything under the sun. I am super excited and will be purchasing seeds and other materials to plant as soon as possible.

I have a ton of knowledge in my head and in a bunch of notebooks, but I plan on also creating my own plant book where I can store information about every plant I'm interested in, whether I buy, plant, forage, or otherwise acquire it.

If any of you have any tips about any of this, I'm always open to good info.

This is a great hobby that I have had for years. It's still fun to see plants grow from seed to size. Even if I only have an apartment with a balcony. Especially chili plants, herbs and other vegetables, but also ethnobotanical or house plants are a must for me.

Yes I love how much you end up appreciating the plants and what you end up harvesting and using after growing and caring for plants.
I think I'd have to grow plants even if I lived in an apartment as well. Luckily, I have some space on land to plant.

I have also been looking into native plants to possibly forage.

Just having a few plants really adds a lot to one's life, though. What kinds of chilis, herbs, and other plants have you grown and which do you like the most?
