It's just beautiful~
Of course, I had my lightning build on. But I dropped lightning pretty quick for this especially against Heolstor. Also had Halo Scythe, never used it. Interestingly, one of the Wylders here decided he wasn't going to help against the final boss. Maybe he was mad because the other Wylder had two Ordovis Greatswords which are top tier holy swords, but he also had Morgott's sword so like... I dunno. I definitely noticed he wasn't helping us though. And then somehow still ended up dead. I was kind enough to revive him even though I saw he wasn't doing anything, he was moving, but wasn't swinging. It's a shame cause I've played with this particular Wylder several times, and he was always very solid, attempting to throw on a base round where your teammates are obviously overpowered is just kinda stupid especially if you're the only one who ends up down. Despite having my lightning build on, I'm still pretty qualified to use other incants. I've just been trying to get more comfortable using other lightning incants. Obviously Lightning Spear is my bread, and butter, but... you don't always find it. Sometimes you might get Lightning Strike or Honed Bolt which aren't bad, and some people might even say they're better. I prefer Spear because of tge range mostly. With Bolt, and Strike you need to be closer to hit. Spear also just feels like it hits harder. There's also Ancient Dragons Lightning Strike/Spear, and Lansseax's Glaive which should be more powerful than regular lightning, but... Strike is very hit or miss, Spear has zero range, and Lansseax's Glaive, which should be the best lightning incant in game coming straight from Lansseax herself, is good... but it's two part, you basically summon a big-ass lightning sword, and swing it which sends out a lightning AoE. The largest damage comes from hitting with the actual swing so you need to be very close, and the casting animation is too long so you tend to get slammed. So all-in-all I prefer my basic, trusty Lightning Spear. But sometimes you just don't get it so getting better at working with what I've got. I may do a lightning playthrough of Elden Ring. I dunno why, I just really enjoy the incants.
I also had Rivers on this run, also never used it. Heolstor is immune to bleed, but it's still my natural inclination tp take Rivers when I see it. Funny enough, I had another Heolstor round before this one where both Wylder, and Ironeye specifically bought Rivers from the large merchant on the map... Obviously they didn't know Heolstor is immune to bleed. Of course, Rivers is still a great weapon for purely physical damage, but you're not gonna get the big bursts of bleed from Corpsepiler that you're hoping for on him. When my teammates make poor decisions or just don't know any better, I just take it on myself to keep everyone alive. I'm pretty good at it.
I'm trying to wrap my head around the insane time investment it would take to get to level 32,000. I thought I had no life getting to 1000 in two years, and now nearly another two years later I'm barely 1200. You'd have to play like 20 hours a day for years. Much as I love 76, I don't think there's 32,000 levels there for me. Much as I love gaming in general I can only play a couple hours a day before I'm like, ok, I'm good, I wanna go outside or read a book or shower, ya know. Fuck.
