One thing that bugs me about playing with my nephew... He's a fucking coward. We were in a round with another Duchess. We had just finished off fighting a couple Night Invaders, and typically when you finish with Night Invaders, you move on because the actual field boss of the area usually isn't worth fighting. So I take off thinking they'll follow. I'm at a completely different POI when I realize, oh, they're still there, they're fighting the boss there which I confirm with my nephew. So I race back over. Rain starts coming in, quickly closes over the ruin they're in as I'm running up. Duchess goes down, and my nephew comes running past me.
Dude... you just left our teammate.
"I'm not dying trying to save her."
She's one bar, it's a simple revive, what the fuck are you running from?
I get there in time to revive her, even have enough time for us both to hit a grace before the circle closes. Now I understand I'm obviously way more experienced in these games than him, I can definitely pull off some revives he can't, and sometimes you absolutely have to leave someone behind to save yourself. But. A one bar... and there was nothing around her when I got there so there was no threat beyond the rain, he ran right past her without even trying to help. I know it's just a game, and he's only 16... But I don't like it. I'd rather die trying to help someone than run away knowing I left them to die. That's who I am in game, and as a person. I don't run away. If you're my team, you have my loyalty, I've got you no matter what. Until... you pull some selfish, greedy, blatant asshole bullshit. Then I will do everything in my power to make you suffer until I can write you out of my existence forever. This is why Duskbloods sounds so appealing to me... You can work together with the several other people you're matched with. Or not. Or you just kill them. See I'd love to work together, and help my team. But I'd also love to fucking kill them when they piss me off xD Biding my time, waiting til mid-boss fight, and suddenly they realize they're being attacked from both sides... I don't know if it'll actually work like that, but it'd be hilarious~
