Between The Lies

The world can be such a hard place.
It sometimes make me feel like a disgrace.
Looking for a sparkle of life.
In this world thats full of strife,
But then he came to me.
He set my heart free.
He took my hand,
and made me understand.
Its not just all grief,
and woe.
He showed me the leaf,
And where it grows.
He gave me the courage,
To look the world in the eye.
To know whats truth,
Between all the lies.
Yet again, Another poem from a bit ago. This dates back to 8th grade I believe.

You can harm my body.
You can crush my words,
But you can't destoy the soul withen me
You may be stronger.
You may be smarter,
But theres no way you can destroy me
Who am I? You don't know.
Because all you see is a form.
A body that shows nothing about the inside.
So go ahead and laugh on.
Because what doesn't kill me,
Makes me stronger.
Strong as strong can be.
I wrote this when I was 12 and I thought I would post it in here just for old times sake. =D
