Once, when I was about 10-12 years old, maybe even a bit older, I was walking down the hallway in our big old house. I started kicking around a bit, and kicked too high and my feet got knocked out from under me, because my night gown was too tight and it was long, so it didn't give way to my high kicking.



I still like to kick.



A few years ago, I was jumping and dancing around, kicking to a Prince song, 'Mountains', and kicked the floor first with my toes before a big high kick to the ceiling. It hurt like a mother fucker.



Why was I barefoot?

I used to say this to mom when she would get dressed and I would see her for the first time that day. She still jokes about it and says it to me.



To mom:



"Oh, you're wearing that today!".

To Danny:



"I wonder how the Carpenters got their name?".
