The recent crash of the stock market has caused great provblems in our economy. Christmas sales are reaching record lows in over 20 years, as the unemployment level increases. More and more people have had to call upon help for toys, and food for the holidays. The Department of Social Services says the number of homeless and jobless are increasing more and more every daty. Layoffs are at a continuing high, and seasonal employment extremely low this year. Santa, at last nights summit meeting announced that due to prices of toys, lack of sales, etc...., He has had to layoff as many as 5 reindeer, and an astonishing 3,000 elves and helpers this season.
