I've written prose.
Most of it is crap,
I suppose.

it has no point,
and it's so bad,
I can't even finish the rhymes.

I have some serious... serious subjects I need to talk about....
...but, yeah.. I'm not going to do it here. Why? Because there is no point... sometimes I get the sense ranting in my journal about the things that bother me is a little like the crazy guy standing on a soap-box on the street corner. He may rant with fervent desire and even intelligence and knowledge... but all most people will hear is a passing word or two before dismissing the whole thing and going about their day.
And then there are some topics I need to discuss that are just downright too personal. They don't need to be aired out in public.
Yes, yes.. I can make them a "private" journal entry... but isn't that just the same as scrolling out something in a notebook? Or typing them into a word document to be saved on your on computer and never read by anyone but you? Why put it here? So it can be on a server, entirely in someone else's control and at risk of actually being read by someone else?
What's the point?
Of course if I followed this line of thinking all the time, I'd have a dozen or so stories in Tales From Gate 6, a few rants and a pretty empty journal...
...eh.. but who would miss it anyway?
