To write in prose

I just suppose

Is a fancy way to write

To make wit fit

And put a rhyme

To all of it

Is really a delight

It doesn't come

From here nor there

Nor anywhere

That's plainly clear

Nor somewhere in my sight

It comes from souls

That infect like moles

And take their toll

On emotions like a blight

So when life swirls around

I can be found

Working hard

To stay above the ground

Every day, and even at night

My emotions poured

Into love and life

Service and survival my daily strife

Always reaching for that guiding light

My poetry fills my days

The life I live

Not prose or play

My creativity gives way

For I live what I would write

So for now,

This poem will have to do

I wrote it especially for you

Out of friendship, love and kindness, too

Any more complaints

And my ass, you can bite.
