Christiana woke laying in the centre of her four-poster bed with both arms resting spread out over the white silk sheets. The embroidered repatition of little golden angels declaired border just above her stomach, leaving her smooth, snow white breasts open to the chilly morning air which had already settled in every corner of the room. Her hair, long and dark, lay rest just over her shoulders keeping her neck warm and covering both puncture marks where she had been bitten.

Christiana, or Chire' as she was named after her rebirth, was welcomed by the sensual feeling of content as she awoke. And though the tall but thin, grand embossed balcony doors were wide open all through out the night. Allowing the frosty cold winds to kiss every surface with a thin layer of moisture and the gentle loving moonlight to dance on the marble wall adjacent to her bed, she was not cold.

As she rose from her bed, Chire' took no notice of the chill now surrounding her beautiful body whilst feeling the cold silk sheets run down pale skin, almost as if she was immune to each beckoning sensation. She hadn't felt like this for a long time now, too busy dwelling on current affairs and all those loose knots she had aquainted in her many years of sanctured life here.

Out in the Palace grounds, in the Garden of Lament, where many enjoyed the hospitable comforts of sanctity whilst basking under the huge spherical generator they called 'The Dark Sun'. There was an unusual feeling of un-ease all around, as the sanctors were met by an unexpected new face. A cold dark figure to whome no one in the garden could put a name.

One of the most important of all the Princes' rules, was that to enter as guest into the palace. Every Vampire must sacrifice all - outside the palace walls. Including not only their name, but all knowledge, history, and allegance with their clan. This Ritual was called the Rebirth of the Earthly soul. Based on a promise made by a young priest, named Ezekiel Vedfor.

It has been said. That some years ago, the last of the priest's dying sons was brought to the palace in a bid to guarantee the future of his family. The desperate priest made a promise to the prince's ancestor, that in return for giving his son the gift of eternal life. He would grant him and his predesessors their souls, and passage to the gates of Heaven If ever they fall.

After the town's people had finished building the church, Vedfor was met in the darkest hour of the night by the Vampire to complete the process which would bring upon him his soul, reborn. Once his soul had been blessed by the priest for all of eternity the Vapire damned his son before his final hour.

Weaving in and out the crowd now massing in the garden as word circulated of the unknown dark figure, Helen sprung into action. She always made it her buisness to be one of the first to know when a reborn soul was entering the palace. Normally she would hide. Await in the shaddows by the Dark Sun, till she knew enough about each sin bled creature before confrontation. Before she tainted each holy canvas.

However, she had been caught un-aware, and like the rest of the palace residence, Helen had no knowledge of any new comer. She felt insulted, and couldn't believe her eyes as she followed the new comer through the crowd massing around him on his way upto the huge, symbolic golden palace doors which represented the gates to heaven. As soon as she layed eyes on the mysterious tall, figure. She felt a chill down her spine, ...something about him, she could feel his strong, dominant, yet conserved and focused aura. And in that moment wanted to know everything about him.

Helen stood at the bottom of the broad stairway gazing as the man now dissapeared inside. The palace doors closed over and silence reigned the garden in awe as lust for knowledge did her soul, and she asked herself over and over, ...who was this stranger?

Chire' wraped herself in her white silk gown and tied the bow round her waist as the soothing sound of silence was drowned out by the comotion outside, and her attention was led out onto the balcony where she caught the last of the crowd shattering into their own little shards once again. Confused at what had actually gone on, she left her room and wandered down the hall way, turning off into one of the vast main corridors she was startled by a man she had never met before and quickly grasped her gown, covering herself over as she stood there looking away from him in shock and gathered her self. Her eyes still open wide with discomfort and shock, only returning a glimps into his eyes with curiousity before lowering her head as he passed.

Looking back before carrying on down the corridor still clutching onto her gown, Chire' felt weakened after being startled and began to walk faster till she got out into the garden where she felt safe amongst the others and corrected her breathing with a deep sigh and pretended to act like nothing had happened.

Wandering the Garden, amongst the trees, as she played with the leaves all she could think about was the man that passed her in the corridor. As it dawned on her that she had completely no idea who he was she began to search for her closest friend, Leigan. Chire' thought maybe she knew something about the noise in the garden earlier, and maybe she would be able to tell her something about the man she had passed in the corridor?
