Somewhere down the line Labor Day ended up being the cook-out that I threw. I used to try and do Memorial Day but the weather near the Great Lakes did not cooperate half of the time. I always do it on the Saturday before. So next Saturday is it! Before I moved to the Indy area my cook-out grew every year. I had 50-75 people. Last year was my second year here and it was 19 adults and 8 kids. I did not count the kids before though. We will see what happens this year. I know some regulars have weddings and birthday parties but I am optimistic. The thing that really pisses me off the most though is the people that do not respond! I do not care if you cannot make it. I cannot make it or want to go to things. Just decline! My thing about the cook-out is I provide all of the meat and drinks and everyone brings a side dish. So I would like to know approximately how much to buy! I do not think that it is too much to ask.

Godssssss!!!!! I fucking hate lurking. But even more, I hate to get messaged by people who are fly-by-night and do not give a real shit to actually have a decent conversation. So I lurk. Ugh!

Since Saturday the mid-west has been reaping the wrath of some of the storm that has plagued Louisiana. So far I have gauged over 7 inches of rain. But early this evening there was a clash of 2 fronts and I was under a tornado warning 2 times. One of them I physically saw. It was my first time ever and I was not afraid. I did not run to the basement. I watched it. Then I finally ran inside and grabbed my phone to tape it at the end... Crazy and cool.

I just had a dream the other night about tornados and it scared me to death, I mean it would be kind of cool to see one but as long as it stayed out of my path I'd be good.
