Apparently Quincy Morris was a descendant of the Belmont Clan all along, albeit a Texan one. His only son, John Morris, goes on his quest to rid the world of Dracula yet again. This time, he's been resurrected by the Countess Elizabeth Bartley (Bathory?) also known as the Countess of Blood. Morris and purely platonic, non-homosexual friend, Eric Lecarde, travel across Europe while World War I engages quietly in the backdrop. They do some remarkable things like discover Atlantis, kill an army of German skeletons, and trash the Versailles Palace. Dracula has purple skin in 1914 possibly due to infection from all the mustard gas thrown around. John Morris is never mentioned in Bram Stoker's novel and is purely an invention on Konami's part. Remember that Quincey Morris was a bachelor who tried courting Lucy.
This was the only Castlevania release for the Sega Genesis.
