So I'm still looking around and finding like other research people are fighting over what results show genetically. Some are being done by universities and not places like Ancestry.com. That will only give clues and is limited. It's kind of comical because knowing all of this stuff doesn't change who you are or how your culture progressed. It only gives you background and window dressing and for some new clues to where you might have come from. It is kind of like the term Viking. It is more of a label for Scandinavians that went on raiding parties or exploration. It could be Norwegians or Danes, etc.

Here is an excerpt from something interesting. Like anything else we really don't know even if we use so-called scientific methods. We are dealing with ancient history. I personally think if some of the stuff I posted about the Irish (if it turns out after many more studies are done is factual) are of Basque descent for the most part and the Basque may be a tribal group descended from Neanderthals then maybe that is why you don't find the Celtic lines because they would be mostly Rh- trying to mate with Rh+ and at that time the offspring would most likely have genetic problems, die or there would be no conception. This could account for why they might have decided they could not intermarry at that time period. We are always changing and now we know how to deal with that problem. Anyway I thought this interesting:

The term VIKING simply means Pirate or Raider, as other people have correctly pointed out.

For the people of England, Scotland, Ireland and to a lesser degree Wales the term VIKING would have been applied to any Scandinavian raiders or invaders. So this would have included Danes, Jutes and Norwegians. The British isles were never raided by Swedes, but if they had been they would have been labelled vikings also.

So yes all nordic raiders and invaders were termed vikings, however, once they became settled this changed, hence the establishment of "Danelaw" in eastern England in the early middle ages, the settled vikings, most of whom were danes, were then called Danes.

Music, music, music

I majored in music in college. I wanted to be a choir instructor, I was never that interested in writing music, but the vocal performance of music in a choral setting was my main interest. I ended up going a different direction. So I'm watching the public network station that shows a lot of musical shows. I watched Celtic Thunder which is OK. Then an older group called Anuna came on and I was very disappointed. It seemed it was put together to showcase one particular person, his twin brother and his wife. In this grouping he had sixteen singers. I found the whole show totally boring and mind you I love music. It was a dull show. The songs were OK but what they put together made it lack luster. They also use church Latin pronunciations for their songs. Turned me off that they mixed it with classical and then pronounced some Italianized. If fhe song is supposed to be old it shouldn't be sung in anything but classical Latin. Sighs...I'm so opinionated, lol. Michael who is the one I am speaking about has a nice voice but he is not an outstanding singer so focusing the whole group around him seems odd but it would seem they are popular. I know I shouldn't be so negative but I was so disappointed in the group. They of course are not a bad chorus but there just wasn't anything spectacular about them other then they sang on key and had some unusual songs and types of historical music to perform. I wish more countries would put together groups that sing the music that is ancient to their countries. We have other than country. There is folk music that originated in remote places in the US that are strictly from the US that groups should be singing in the same way. I'm sure they are around but I haven't heard them really. I'm pretty isolated so I don't have time to track them down. The audience clapped and even stood up from time to time but it wasn't overwhelming in nature. Maybe they will think over what they mix together to perform so the program is lighter and more lyrical or melodic if you don't know what I am meaning; key based rather than modal melodic. I love Irish music but not what these people were performing although it wasn't all from Ireland and some were modern. I don't know what it was, I just didn't like the group.
