I talk to you as easily as I think.

There aren't really any good words for this, so here, have a hug and an emoticon: :)
You are a true saint in my eyes......Helping out those less fortunate than you or I......
:D
My time is always going to be yours for the asking. You inspire people and they can feel part of what you are doing. Your cause is not faceless, we see what our efforts are working towards and the difference every action makes:)
..restores your faith, a little bit, don't it?
Only love can beat death and pain!
You demonstrate that those are not just words!
As I've said before, when you demonstrate unyielding passion and belief in what you do, it becomes contagious.
People feel it. People feel how much of yourself you put into your everyday. Your words, your actions... the fact that you LOVE what you do. People will take notice.
The sails you have sewn and unfurled will only propel you forward if you have a powerful enough wind.
Let us be your wind...
"I believe what we do together has eternal value"
Yes,it truely is.
The auction in the main forum for the tee shirt signed by Cancer...wow! What an incredibly imaginative way to support a charity. I'm blown away by the ways people on this site have opened their hearts and emptied pockets to help others. The donations and proceeds will be applied 100% to program costs and some very real people will be helped.
Emaerald came up with the idea and approached me about supporting the Center this way, this untried new way. Because I am a woman of faith,I couldn't be happier with an idea that rests in faith itself...the "build it and they will come" concept. What a great way to approach life...it's the only way I know. Oh, and I have had some spectacular face-plants! But nothing is better than trusting to God...or to whatever your construct may be.
I have expressed my gratitude many, many times, but I sometimes think that I have never adequately expressed to you my wonder.
I wish you could see how beautiful you all look to me.

As you do to us x
The most beautiful soul is the one that inspires beauty in others. Your energy and dedication to what you do, to your cause rings out like a bell, and no one who comes into contact with you can hear that sound and not be moved.
It could not have been better expressed, Ockham.
Hear, hear.
You are in awe? Well, I am too, as I never envisaged it would take off so well with members being so generous! Life is about giving as well as taking, and if we can make one person smile, instead of shedding tears.. then the effort we all make here today is worth it :)
Seven did help me choose the Charity, and with the Meet-up in New Orleans, well it all panned out very nicely indeed. :)
Fantastic idea, and it's going amazingly.
"I wish you could see how beautiful you all look to me."
If only you knew how beautiful you look to us..

yayyyy.....:)
Wooohoo! We knew you could do it, Meatball. :)
Alright! Way to go Meatball. Now remember- cars and trucks are BAD. Mommy and the yard at mommy's is GOOD. :)
Looking very handsome and much healthier there:)
awesome! :) Glad to see him up and running, as it were.
awwww!
that's great!
*holds out a treat*
Yay!
Meatball is standing, Joli is relieved and happy, God is in heaven and everything is right in the world.
That is a very happy picture. We appreciate your having posted it.
We couldn't have done it without you all! Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I'd thank you for your gifts of treats, but those of you who sent them...how can you sleep at night? You have created a monster! He lives for treats these days...spoiled spoiled Little Lord Fauntledog.
I'm having an issue with my camera's flash being stuck in the down position. That's why this pic looks so blurred compared to the rest. When I'm able, I'm going to post an updated picture of his wound which is looking SO much better!
I believe we have really turned a corner and it's good to have my guy on the mend. He's still not really putting that back leg down much, but we're figuring it out :)
Blurry or not ... he's standing and that's great.
That's awesome Jo! Glad your diligent tending to him has paid off.
The hopes and prayers wouldn't have done much with out you and your daughter's giving him all that TLC!
Yes- TLC is what did this. You are a great Mommy to him. Most would of given it up- not deal with the time and effort it took to get him to this point.
So I also Thank You and your child for saving him. He is blessed to have you both.
:) Awesom!! I am glad to see he is up as much as he is and doing so well. : hugs hugs hugs:
I just noticed this pic.....grear news x
WHOOOHOOO!!
This is unbelievable. Check out the loot. He is feeling the love!
The stripedy boxes are from his mystery admirer, but I won't let the rat out of the bag. I hid his medicine in the truffles and he wagged his tail for more!
The box with the note from Maddy came from the Sevenn/Krista house. Obviously she was snagging money to save up for her buddy! Maddy, Meatball couldn't get his tongue far enough into that cheese bone! He's going to concentrate until the job is done. Savvy had to come see what all the fuss was.
The wrapper of bones came from a friend who volunteers with me at the Center.
What a blessed poochie! Thank you all for being so thoughtful. I'm so amazed by all of you.

Woah..I dont even get something like that for Xmas!! Thats awesome.:D
Yeah, hokey smokes, Bullwinkle!
Sweet!!!!! Go MB!!! We are pulling for you!
Hope the cat does'nt get jealous lol
AWWW
MB has a secret admirer! I received a package today at work for him, filled with all sorts of goodies. I looked inside and there's a card, but it isn't signed. Meatball is very polite and would like to say thank you. Please let me know if it was someone here. If you for some reason choose to remain anonymous, please know that you are amazing. It's such an above the bar kind of thing to send a gift. We're grateful for you!
On the NEWS front, he has been getting up the last two days SO much more! Today, my daughter said he tried to get to the door when the doorbell rang. Yesterday, I didn't carry him outside or in. He hop-limped out there all by himself and back in :)
Oh, and to mystery gift-bringer...oh boy is he going to like these treats!
COMMENTS
Glad he is better. :) And the treats will help him to heal I am sure.
He totally deserves it! :D
Bathed, clean shirt, and soakin' up some outside with a best bud. Well, sharing the mat, anyway :)

I think he knows he is now the darling of vr lol
He is the dark angel of VR. :) Glad to see you in black...all gothic and all Meatball. ;)
Oh wow...I need to get him a VR tee!
That would be awesome to see!!!
..now that's how to enjoy this weather.
Hes got it made in the shade.:D
I'm going to link this image instead of posting the image here, and warn some of you that it may be difficult to look at. I have mentioned that MB has a large open wound on his side. These journal entries are for my friends and acquaintances who want to know how we're getting on, but mainly they are for me to have this experience chronicled. They help me to monitor progress and to remember the commitment it takes to love someone, especially our best buddies.
What you'll see in this image is the severity of the wound injury, of course. But it also demonstrates a part of the treatment I have to give him. I pack the wound with raw honey one day, sugar the next. they both have healing properties beneficial to open wound healing. Posting a link so you can read about it. honey for wound aid
In MB's image, I have just treated him with sugar and gone to get my camera. You'll notice the wound is wet. He has been cleaned and dried before the application, but the honey and sugar have this effect. I then put a clean t-shirt on him as a makeshift bandage. In a little while, we'll hose out the wound with soapy antibacterial soap, spray it with a prescription antibacterial spray, t-shirt him for the night, and bring him in. He is also on oral antibiotics. I will periodically add an updated image so that we can watch the process as he heals.
MB's wound

Isn't that something that could be stitched? To close the wound.
Wounds like this must heal inside out. Stitching it would be terrible.
So many people don't realize how much we have around us that actually has healing ability if used as such.
When he's progressed to actual scabs (not before) Calendula cream will help prevent the negative aspects of the scaring that he'll have.
I wish you all the best in this time.
Thank you :)
: hugs you : The simple fact that you are willing to do this for him says so much about the bond you both have. I look forward to seeing how well his healing progresses with the loving care that you and the girls give to him.
I had assumed his wound was an avulsion but now I see that a huge flap of tissue is simply gone. I'm impressed that they find it possible for this kind of injury to heal through tissue regeneration rather than needing extensive grafting of skin and perhaps other tissues. Fortunately, your boy knows he's loved and cared for and has no real need to worry. It's just a matter of time, care, persistence, love and some bee spit where the bees never intended it to go.
Saint Joli. Has a nice ring to it.
Yes,good ole sugardine..very tried and true horse remedy. It sounds like you are doing everything right with his care..he is a very lucky pooch.
It was brought to my attention that I didn't actually say what caused MB's injury. He was under the neighbor's big diesel truck. His pelvic bone was crushed under the wheel as he was run over. It is fractured in 3 places. It also caused a large open wound on his side.
Update: He's been a good dog since we brought him home, going outside every day and taking care of the stuff doggies are supposed to do on the grass :)
We aren't out of the woods yet, but we're making progress. Thanks again to all who have sent well wishes.

Do me a favor? Give him a kiss for me. :)
I would, but the collision would be very tongue heavy and I'm just not comfortable with that. I'll let him lick my cheek in your honor :)
Then scratch him gently behind the ear for me.
AW..hope he recovers soon.
COMMENTS
He looks so cool!
I hope that his healing is going well and that soon he will recover fully.
Now that's just how a pooch should be pampered lol
If ever, during the long, lonely, drug-clouded nights at the vet, he considered that perhaps he was there because he was no longer loved, he can now hold no such question. No member of any pack has ever had his importance, love and bond more undoubtedly confirmed.
Good-night, Meatball. Sleep well.
If I shall pass away I want to come back as one of your pets... really, I do. :)
AWWW.
