It may have been in bad taste but I just read a great true story about an 87 year old guy called Harry Meadows who was living in a residential care home for the elderly.

He would love playing tricks and having a joke with other residents and the staff. On one particular evening when most residents were watching TV in the communal lounge he got himself dressed up as Death, scythe and all, and stood in the grounds of the building and tapped at the window and beckoned the residents and calling them by name.

Very funny … indeed … three of the residents had heart attacks with a further six needing emergency help.

The year before Harry's performance, another resident of the same home, the then 81 year old Gladys Elton, for reasons best known to herself, had conceived the idea of performing a striptease for her fellow residents of the home; unfortunately such was the effect of Elton's performance that it caused the death of one resident by way of a cardiac arrest and the treatment for shock of five other residents.

The home was forced to shut as a result of these two incidents.
