So fragrant a flower
Overlooked and passed by
The petals they fall
Will never wilt though they die
Carried on the wind to dance
Around the hearts of those she loves
To finally be one with her spirit
And flitting and floating above
The rain clouds that pour down
The black rain of sorrow
For the flower now fallen
Shall still see tomorrow
But not from the vine
From whence it once grew
But from above and around
Until reborn in true.
There sits a rogue in corner yonder
Looking troubled as he ponders
Memories by the looks of things
Tears and smiles both that sing
I watch the display from my corner
Shadowed and cloaked I watch him yonder
I smile when his lips raise up
I watch him pretend to drink and sup
I naught can help but cry when he cries
I look down when his troubled eyes rise
All else fades out around me
As I watch the scene play out before me
This noble rogue with a tortured heart
I would speak with him, but where to start
So I sit in silence in my corner
Living and breathing to watch him ponder
