Changing Your Password
To change your password click Edit Profile in the User Menu. Scroll down to the Update Password window.
A password must be between 8 and 12 characters in length. A password must be alpha-numeric, meaning it must contain a combination of numbers and letters.
If you ever forget your password you can request that the VR System send you a new one. When you try to log in and your log in fails, you're presented with an option to retrieve lost password. You can also get directly to that page from here. You will be asked for your VR member name and the email address you entered when you set up your account. A new password will be sent to this email address. If you enter an email address that does not match, your password will not be reset.
If you utilize any type of spam filtering, or use a webmail service such as Yahoo, make sure to check your spam folders. Sometimes Vampire Rave email is improperly sorted as spam. If you use Yahoo and find Vampire Rave email in your bulk mail folder, it helps when you click Not Spam from within Yahoo.
Do not request a new password multiple times. Each time you do so will change your account password. Be patient. The new password email can take up to 30 minutes to arrive based on server load. If you request multiple passwords it will take longer, and when you go to log in the new password you just received won't work.
Do not ask an Administrator to retrieve a lost password for you. Passwords are encrypted by the system and cannot be retrieved by Administrators.
If you failed to enter an email address for your account, or if your email address is no longer valid (you failed to keep it current) you're screwed. You were warned to keep a valid email address on file when you signed up for a Vampire Rave membership.
