Hello! Thank you for stopping by my page to visit and learn about me. I hope that you will enjoy your time here. Perhaps you will learn something new about yourself; maybe something will make you stop and think. That's always good. People judge so easily, especially based upon looks these days. No one takes the time to actually get to know someone. We judge on looks, religion, clothing, ethnicity, etc; but those are so SUPERFICIAL! Who cares about that?
So, you want to know a smidge more about me, eh? Well, I can understand that. I would want to know more about me if I were you too! My name is Mikyla Abigor and I'm thirty-five. I live in Springfield, Illinois.
While I did graduate high school - on the honor roll, I haven't yet completed college. I guess that it just wasn't in the cards for my younger self. As of the beginning of May, I officially have my Associates in Business Administration. Now, I am shopping around for the best place to finish my Bachelor's Degree.
I like to read. A lot. I think I tend to get lost in books. As a child it was an escape; now it's just a habit. I read almost ANYTHING, if it catches my fancy. Erotica, Historical Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Suspense, Horror, Mystery, Non-Fiction if it's historical or religious...I'm in the process of getting rid of a lot of books.
I listen to music. Also a LOT. My favorite band is the Ramones. At our wedding, Chris and I danced to Baby, I Love You off the End of the Century album - the song means a lot to me. Music, in general, means a lot to me. There's a lot of really good energy in music, isn't there? As a child, I took piano lessons because my father forced me to. I've never been motivated by force; to this day I suck at the piano. As an adult I'd like to go back and actually learn how to play several instruments: piano, alto sax, and violin. As far as music I listen to? Well, that's as varied as everything else in my life:

A lot of you know my husband, known here as Euphoric Death. He's awesome, isn't he? He is my life - he is the wall against which I lean. He has given me so much and I can never repay him for that. I can only hope he continues to love and support me because without him, I am nothing. Plus, he's too damn sexy. Who'd want anyone other than him?
I want to say that family is important to me, because I am really close to my father; I'm a daddy's girl. We've always been close. Even as a small child. My mother tells me that when I was a baby in diapers, I would run out in the middle of winter in nothing BUT a diaper to greet him when he came home from work. Of course, that could also speak to the craziness of my mind. And explain why, to this day, I don't get cold very easy and still love winter! I also get along really well with my brothers and sisters.
The importance of family extends to those I am lucky enough to call friend. Let us all be honest with ourselves: when a true friend enters our life, we are the lucky one, not them. That being said, I must applaud my fellow Coven members. They are all so great; open, friendly, honest, and intelligent!
I have some awesome friends, both online and off. Through the years, I have lost some truly good friends. Not because of anything dire; just because we've moved away and lost touch. That should never happen. Life's too short to lose your friends. I wish they were still in my life, but I guess our paths weren't meant to cross for longer than a few years.
I am always looking for people to talk to. I'm not here looking for anything beyond friends; I have that at home. Please, if that's what you're here for...turn around and walk away.
I'm involved in many things. One of the things that is VERY important to me is voting. If you're over 18 and it's legal for you to vote, then you need to vote. Educate yourself on the issues that are important to you; educate yourself on who's running...be involved. If you aren't involved, then you DAMN well don't get to bitch about the status of society!
Something else that is very important to me is ending modern day slavery. It is a sad, sad fact of the world that more people are enslaved today than at the height of the African Slave Trade. It was wrong then, it's wrong now. I ask you, please visit some of these sites and help us end slavery!
