Vampires. What is it about these magnificent creatures that we find all so alluring, all so inviting, all so irresistible? Very few mythical creatures represent so well the extreme of human emotion, embody so vividly our deepest fantasies or unleash so powerfully our darkest side. We find ourselves inevitably drawn to the indomitable forces that govern the lost and sometimes tortured souls of these fascinating creatures because, in a way, we are all a little like vampires. We all thirst and hunger, maybe not for warm, living blood but for other things such as love, passion, happiness, respect, security, adventure etc. In a way this supports the theory that various forms of vampires do exist. For example, Sanguine vampires versus Emo vampires, also known as energy vampires. Upon closer inspection the Emo vampire is not as far-fetched as most would think. I mean sanguine vampires don't die per se if they are deprived of blood. Instead they dry up and decay but continue to live forever and once they drink blood again they recover almost a form of re-birth. Death is only certain if decapitated, staked or burned, according to most common lore. As for Emo vampires (modern day vamps and a bit similar to what some of us are), if we don't find love, passion, happiness, we can shrivel up inside and in a way decay but not die. Picture if you will a person that is looking to find the love of their life or at least a lifelong companion to build a life with but instead can’t get a date to save their lives or simply cannot find that person that they can “connect/click with”. After a while that person can become dejected, jaded, pessimistic, closed etc and a part inside of them starts to decay or die for a lack of a better word. So is it really that surprising that so many are fascinated, obsessed or addicted to the vampire genre? Just something to think about.
Likes: Reading (vampire and preternatural novels, will spend all day at Barnes & Nobles and read a book over a hot latte), scrap-booking, fashion, Organic Vodka, picnics on the beach, rollerblading, volleyball, swimming, comedy, cooking/eating, shopping and listening to music.
Dislikes: Drama, bigots, child abusers, spouse abusers, people that can't handle their alcohol (if you can't take the heat , get out of the kitchen), arrogance, selfish people, users.
