What it's about!
Chateau Orleans is not a 'Coven', even though it is listed as one as per the organization and setup of Vampire Rave. We will be leading a New Orleans interest group, simply. Chateau Orleans is a treasure trove of history, magic, horror, religion, deceit, tragedy, and beauty. Step inside to learn more. It's only a coven in the sense that 'coven' is the title of a Sire's society on Vampire Rave. For us, it's a place to virtually bring New Orleans to you! You can expect:
Attractions
Events
History
Music
Culture
The Arts
Local spirituality and Religion
Sit back, watch the build, and enjoy the show!

We are looking for people who wouldn't mind getting our forum active. But if you are to be one of those people, we look for intelligent people that take pride in what they are typing. We appreciate people who can spell and respect grammar. You DON'T have to live in New Orleans to be in this Coven. You don't even have to know much about it. Just being interested in it is enough :)
We talk about New Orleans, we talk about 'us', we have a good time!

Thank you DirtyKing for this totally rockin' Crest.
Our representation is the alligator. Well, we've got a lot down here. 'Nuff Said. Louisiana has the most alligators of all the Southeastern states, as well as the most in the United States in general.
The Sire's mark is the fleur-de-lis. I used this mark in House Eternal, but now that the House is being run by someone else, the mark has changed- and this can remain as my mark on Vampire Rave. This makes me very happy :) This mark means a lot of things, but most of all, it is the symbol of New Orleans for me.
A note from Lagniappe
"I have been a New Orleans fan as long as I can remember. I was not born here, but I got here as fast as I could :) I was led here by it's magical, cultural, legendary appeal. I made my own family here, my family braved Hurricane Katrina, and my family supports the constant rebuild and retention of this glorious historical US landmark.
I visited regularly from 1992 until I was lucky enough to get Marine Corps orders to 'The Pentagon South' New Orleans 5 years later :) It became my home. I don't just live here, I promote it, love it, need it, and feed off sharing it with others. I don't feel this way anywhere else, although I can appreciate other places. Something keeps me passionate, and I am totally fine with it.
I have always thought of New Orleans when hearing the word 'vampire'. And although I admittedly enjoy Anne Rice, it has nothing to do with her. Vampires have always had a strong New Orleans foundation. And it's that foundation she used for her books."
If you are interested in helping New Orleans rebuild, I suggest you do business locally. You can buy New Orleans music, you can take a trip here, you can order merchandise ONLINE! If you would like to help our homeless, and the very large community of people who are still struggling post-Katrina, message Joli to find out how your money can make a serious difference.
***I like creating places where member satisfaction is #1. Blame it on my retail management background, as well as Disneyland being my very first job :P Maybe Chateau Orleans can be your Vampire Rave home :)
