The Black Panther is an animated television series by Marvel Animation, based on the popular Marvel Comics superhero of the same name set to debut in Mid 2009 on Black Entertainment Television (BET). The Black Panther will mark the first time BET has produced an animated television series.

At a presentation held in New York City in April 2008, BET announced that it had signed a deal with Marvel Comics to turn the Black Panther into a prime time half-hour animated series. The show will be supervised by Reginald Hudlin who is currently the President of Entertainment at BET and also wrote, along with John Romita Jr. as the artist, the story arc of the Black Panther comic entitled "Who is the Black Panther?" on which the first six episodes will be based before the series begins to tell its own story.
In July 2008 at the San Diego Comic-Con, the first footage of the series was shown publicly, brandishing an art style that was like a comic book come to life.
Two-time Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou has been cast to voice T'Challa/Black Panther.
