This two CD set provides a unique collection of Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre old-time radio plays. The first CD is the famous radio broadcast of H.G. Wells War of the Worlds that frightened Americans on Halloween 1938 with it's eerie depiction of a martian invasion.
But the second CD is the reason it is listed here. It is a dramatic reading of Bram Stoker's Dracula, which was also the first ever Mercury Theatre broadcast. Both CDs offer a quality remastering of the original radio broadcasts.
