Dancing in a darkened room
With candles illuminating shadows and light
I close my eyes and think of you
And suddenly we are embraced together tight
A dance so in tuned
With our souls leading the way
Pouring our emotions out wordlessly
Before the night turns into day
Extending me out, to twirl me back in
I pause and bow to you
This dance of Vampires
Is something enchanting and so beloved and true
Filled with emotions that are centuries old
That takes place in this Dark Waltz
Another twirl as you snap me back in
We pause... as time and seconds halt
Gazing into the windows to our souls
Through each others eyes
Our lips meet and kiss passionately
As my eyes swell with tears and my soul sobs and cries
One more twirl and one more embrace
As the darkened room is replaced with morning light
I feel my soul shatter.. as we must shelter
But we try to hold on with all our might
As our fingertips separate
And I see you bow to me before you go
I reach out and try to run to you
But the light floods in and my Demon screams NO!!
And as that vision is the last I see
Before my reality sets into my doom
I open my eyes and my tears start to fall
For I was only dancing alone.. in a darkened room
