After the home world of the peaceful Valorians was conquered by the Rulons, a group of Valorian survivors escaped via time travel to prehistoric Earth. Emperor Krulos and a portion of the Rulon army followed them back in time. They all became trapped there. The Rulons enslaved the dinosaurs to use in battle against the Valorians. The telepathic Valorians used their abilities to tame some of Earth's dinosaurs for domestic use and for battle.
