I was cruising the site movies, and came across "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". I forgot how much fun it is, and the director did a great job of cheesy parody. Plus, I have a thing for Paul Reubens. I love his Pee Wee character, but as himself, I dig him even more. He did such a great job in his death scene. The humor he brought to his Buffy character is a crack up.
If you are in the mood for a giggle, don't forget about this, albeit dated, fun flick.
I can appreciate this movie now, but to be perfectly honest, the first time I saw it I hated it.
It's no secret Buffy creator Joss Whedon was also very upset with how the original movie turned out. He was given much more control over the TV series which is why there are quite a few differences between the two.
Maybe I would have liked the original movie more if Leslie Nielsen had played the watcher.
Yes I think we all at some point thought what the hell were they thinking when they made this movie? But I must admit Paul reubans was pretty amusing.
I think a person has to expect 'cheesy' when watching, otherwise, it could be disappointing.
It's the same concept with "House of 1000 Corpses". I new it was a parody/tribute the 70's horror era, but a lot of people didn't get it, and groaned. Or, maybe I just have a twisted sense of humor for the macabre. After all, I laughed and cheered when Baby Firefly scalped that dude.
ahhh..the house of a 1000 corpses!
comedy!
hehehehe!

So fun..I loved it..my sister too.
