First of all, this site is great. The thing is, hasn't anyone noticed the amount of new members who have signed up recently? (I'm not a new member, I accidently deleated my Profile so I had to start again) I no something along these lines has been discussed before. What I think should happen is when someone has not been on there account for lets say -50- days, it should be deleated. I know that if the new members havnt been online in -30- days there profile gets deleated, but shouldnt that be the case with all of us?? I used to know people that just left, and there profile is still here, even if they left last year! (I know its only Feb) I want to know what others think...
Yes I agree with you!!
...The database has grown greately. Im not so long here but since I have joined the amount of users rise for about 800.
And I have also noticed that a lot of members dont use their "accounts" from their beginning...
Every night around midnight Central Time (-6 GMT) member accounts are deleted. Accounts with inactivity times between 30 days and 120 days are removed, depending upon the level of the member. If you are level 5 or higher, your account is safe from deletion.
This is covered on the Status System page.
Another thing, if it looks like our growth has slowed, it hasn't. It is steadily increasing. Despite the fact that inactive members are removed nightly, new members are signing up at a more rapid pace.
I have read the status system page, and believe it to be very fair, although yes I would agree that if someone simply 'left' VR, then they should be bothered to delete their own profile, not leave people who already have so much to do to clean up their mess.
