The first book in the Harry Potter series was published in June of 1997. Since that book was published, the world has fallen madly in love with the characters of Rowling's magical world. In July of 2011, the final Harry Potter film aired. For many, this was an ending to an era, a childhood- and we here on the Rave are no exception.
The Mirror of Erised is a Coven based straight out of The Wizarding World. The Mirror of Erised is the Coven's namesake. It's a mirror that tells you your one true desire- the thing you want the most from life. It changes, person to person. No two people see the same image in the Mirror- it's all an illusion.

Note: Though the Coven is based on Harry Potter, that does not mean we role play, nor does it mean that the Coven is solely focused on "magical" things.

I suppose I should also state that we have no requirements of any kind. We demand absolutely nothing from our members, it's all on them as far as how much effort they want to put into the Coven. So, no one will be blinded for not posting up the Crest, not making x amount of Favor, and not making x amount of forum posts. We have no illusions as to what expect from members these days, and you will never be punished for not taking part in things.
We also have no "no drama" policy. We in Erised understand that hey, it's the internet. And just like in the real world, there are going to be people you just won't get along with. To demand that we have no drama whatsoever is just wishful thinking. We do ask that you keep it out of the public eye, if possible.
So, Erised is not like your average Society with a ton of silly rules that really can't be enforced, aside from blinding a person. I don't like blinding people, and I tend to avoid it when possible. If you take part in a Society, you should at least be able to enjoy that Society, right?
