The Honored of Umbrae Octo
Here lies the father, the creator and first chapter in this our house's history. Here lies loyalty, courage and honour, soldiers who fought to succeed and to better our future, who fight still, bearing the mark of our master. Here stands individuals who have braved all to become the best, and stand here still, making this their eternal home. Here in this hall, remain the fruits of our minds, though the bodies have gone, the thoughts they commemorated to paper lie here still.
To the father and the soldiers, the sires and the scholars...feel honoured bitches!
Our Jason was a great house master, a fair, honest and caring person. He would listen to thoughts and ideas, pushing you forward, to do more, to do better. He not only founded this house, he made it home, he created a family of warm loving people who trusted his leadership and judgment, and followed out any and all tasks he put down, and for all these qualities and more we pushed to make his house number one an ideal we still try to maintain to this day, along with his crazy fascination with squirrels, as well as doing right by his house, a house he created with no drama or quarrels, of kindness and humour...of boobs and booze.
So Jason, here is a reminder to all house members old and new, we honour you still.
Sabastion came to us from the House of Caomhnóir-an-Eolas and brought with him an irreverent attitude which endeared him to the members of Umbrae Octo. Always quick to laugh, he also introduced an academic element to the house that was welcomed by all. Sabastion embraced the opinions of the house members as well as the ideals of the founding house master Jason, yet steered the house based on his inner vision for it. Sabastion was a great House Master. You could always trust Sabastion to be honest and fair in his dealings with members and for that we will always honor him.
