You know, I thought I was going to be able to post an entry here everyday...I have journals EVERYWHERE that I just NEVER post in anymore...
Life is hectic, life is sweet...
I love my husband more and more with every day that passes and I'm so glad he has blessed my life with his presence.
I am blessed in my job because I HAVE a job. It also gives me a chance to remember how sad humanity is when I deal with stupid people. On a daily basis.
I love to write, but I've been the victim of SEVERE writer's block for a while now. I'll post some of my old stuff!
So okay...I work in cell phones. You know, customer service? No really; it's fun. You should try it sometime.
It takes an exuberant amount of patience and empathy. If you're a psy vampire, it can be emotionaly overload or it can be a great feed!
ANYWAY.
Yeah, I worked today - it was SLOW AS TAR!!
This guy called in today and he didn't understand his rate plan. Now, this is a "banker" so obviously he's intelligent; working with numbers (we're not just talking a cashier here) and all.
He wasn't able to wrap his mind around the additional cost for extended Night and weekend minutes. Now, I understand that SOME carriers offer this feature for free; we don't. It costs...He wanted us to give it to him for free or he was going to another carrier. I told him we couldn't...he insisted we could. Finally, he comprehended that we couldn't - or it could have been the empty threats to cancel that I didn't respond to. Hey, if he wanted to pay $175 per line to cancel over a feature I can't change the price of, that's his business...
Anyway, the REAL problem wasn't the pay feature, it was that he didn't seem to understand that for xx.xx per month he got his night and weekend minutes from 7p to 7a where as if he didn't pay, they were 9p to 6a.
Maybe it's the 4 years in the business or the 7 years as a cellular subscriber prior to that, but I'm thinking the NIGHT and WEEKEND feature is fairly self-explanatory...it's NIGHT and WEEKEND minutes...
"So if I place a call at 8:01 PM and I have this feature, what is that?"
It's a NIGHT/weekend minute call.
"What if it's 8:01 PM Saturday?"
Um...that's a night/WEEKEND minute call.
No really...is this hard?
Pfft...Whatever
