So, I had a call yesterday that was a little stupid. Now, the conversation is in quotation marks (denoting conversation!!!) and my commentary is all around it so don't get confused!!!
"Thank you for calling XXXXXXX. My name is ___________________ and I'll be assisting you today. Can I get your 10 digit wireless number, please?"
"814...I just want my Subsidy Unlock Code."
--- Let me just interject really quick and ask you: Does '814' sound like ten numbers to you because it didn't to me. Wasn't I clear enough? I guess not, so I said:
"Sure, I'll be happy to assist you with that. Can I get your 10 digit wireless number, please?"
"814.555.1234" --- Oh, like I'm going to give out a customer's real number? Please!!!!
"I'm sorry. That number isn't coming up in our system. Can I get it one more time?"
"Do you want the new number or the old number?"
--- Now, most people would say the new number thinking the customer had just changed their cell number, but not always. Carry on!
"Are you asking if I want the number with Provider A or Provider B?"
"Yes" ---- and a right snotty attitude she gave me with that one word, too!
"Well, I need your Provider A number. I can't look up a number that isn't ours."
"Oh. Well, that's 814.999.1234"
Seriously? You called your OLD mobile provider and gave them your NEW mobile number then got mad when they couldn't find it? WTF is wrong with you?
Whatever!
