This cold winter killed several of my plants, freezer burned. Work lost far more. Cannot believe they insist carrying plants this time of year that they know isn’t going to make the season. I’m planning on replacing any thing that died, or looks bad, with plants more suited for winter. Just because the label says safe until 20 degrees, doesn’t make it so. I may just plant a yew garden and be done with it. The yard is now certified as national and state wildlife preserve which is great. The birds are showing up, finally. Even if the yard isn’t fully ready for them. The crows remind when to cle@n and fill the birdbaths. Since the cold weather, I’m back to writing a little. Finished a short story, with the help of ChatGPT, and will upload soon. I wanted to use it to see what it can do. Total mess, but it got cleaned up to work. Story of AI, by AI. So, I didn’t mind using it. Dick Heade, got started too. That series will be finished by end of year. I’ll hit Salome again too, eighty pages of draft completed. Working just weekends have given me much more time for these projects. Wood cabinets are in the making now too. Got to love the winter months.
