Chapter 1: Captured

Sealed away in a tower just as Rapunzel was, the interior brick walls and silver bars all around. A castle-esque view was a sight to behold. The black velvet curtains swayed through the wind as the balcony door slammed open and close. Moonlight and stars sparked above the pitch night sky. Clouds moving along, as time ticks away.

Her beauty shook him right down to his very core, as he gazed upon her quivering, pouty ruby red lips.
Black mascara stained tears streaming onto her smooth flushed cheeks. Her sobs produced the most perfect melody to his ears.
Black Ops mercernary Cayne Thorne grinned a devilish smile, as he gently tapped the barrel of his 9mm Beretta against his caged trap. Frightened with blurry eyes open staring at the branded weapon, Ophelia Sinclair heiress to the Sinclair fortune sniffled as she remained quiet fully aware of her surroundings.
Ophelia sat bound and gagged on the wooden creaky chair, as she watched Cayne wrestled out a cigarette and lighter from his leather jacket. He tilted his head at an angle, while he flicked open the lighter but noticed just how Ophelia was looking pitiful and chuckled,

"Oh Lia, my beautiful Lia. You have absolutely no idea, the lengths I had to go just to make you mine!"

At that moment, when Cayne spoke directly to her for the very first time and called her "Lia", she knew exactly who he was.
Ophelia gasped an inaudible sound and rocked back and forth, the chair screeching beneath her feet. Her tiny hands balled into fist, causing the handcuffs to rattle along side the chair rests.
Cayne lit his cigarette, bringing it to his mouth and smirked, realizing that Ophelia has finally remembered him.


Since their last meeting at their senior graduation hosted by the California Institute of the Arts 10 years ago, this was the first time in a decade these former friends had been face to face.
