Death is his name,

Pain is his gain.

As he silently walks here and yon,

Looking for a soul to take.

Not waiting until the dawn.

He has cherished the last tears ever cried,

He has wiped painful memories away,

with one swipe.



He does not care if you're rich or poor,

If your names on his list he claims your soul.

Nor does he care if you're short or tall,

Heavy or thin, he does not discriminate.

He serves all the same,

But no one knows his name.

He is The Death Prince.



He claims all the same regardless of status or fame.

He knows each on his list by their first, middle and last names.

He's saw their tears,

and quieted their fears.

He has taken them away to place they can forget

Day by day.

He see's their broken hearts,

And watches as they fade away.

He is The Death Prince.



He has been there through every up or down,

Through every smile or frown.

He's been so close he could feel them breath.

And he has gently laid upon them the funeral wreathes.

He watched as they cried,

He watched as they died.

He waited patiently for their breath to fade.

So his one last move could be made.
