Anxiety

This is going to be a challenging week.

I'm pet/house sitting and working at my regular part time jobs this week. One of the pets I'm looking after recently had ear surgery and wearing the infamous e-collar that all dogs and cats detest. Poor dog has to wear it 24/7 until his stitches come out next week.

It seems I'm not the only one having trouble with the homework assignment. A few of us are going to get together and help each other out. I'm real happy about this since every time I see the assignment I want to burst into tears.

On top of the homework assignment for my water resource class, I have a few academic journal articles I have to read. The articles are very dense and dry. Coffee is thy friend!

I've also been working on the wedding guest list. It looks like we're done with the family part of the guest list. I'm going to piss off several family members on my side but oh well. Next step is to work on the friends' list. My love and I just want to invite our family and friends that care about us. Besides, we're on a very tight budget.

Everything is started to really get to me and I'm finding myself to have mini meltdowns here and there. Also, the anxiety I'm feeling is causing me to lose tons of sleep.

I really need to find my happy place.

Reflection

There's only a few people at work that I truly like. As for the rest of them? I could give a rat's ass about them. Most of the people at work are ass kissing, back stabbing, snobby ass people. But aren't many work environments like that anyway? Anywhooo, as I was having my own pity party I was reminded how fortunate I really am.

A co-worker of mine told me the news on a couple of snobs at work:

Snob #1: Within a week, her grandfather passed away, her boyfriend dumped her and her brother was being young and stupid and jump into a shallow part of lake and is now paralyzed from the chest down.

Snob #2: Is back from maternity leave. Due to complications, she gave birth about a month early in June. Both her and her baby are fine. What I found out today is her pregnancy cost her, her uterus. After a C-section, she had to undergo a hysterectomy.

Both of these snobs looked down on me and I just blow them off. As much as I don't like them, and let's be honest here, I detest them.....I honestly feel bad for them. My life is far from perfect but I do have a lot to be thankful for.

Numbers....

As an undergrad in college, I had majored in biology. Then in the beginning of my last year of college, I switched to a major in the humanities department. Up to that point, I had taken countless of physical and life science courses required for my degree. Most of these classes involved math (e.g. physics). I'm not very good with math. In fact, I'm horrible at it. How I got through a full year of calculas is beyond me. I passed the courses but not with a very good grade. After I switch majors, I was both relief and confident that I will NEVER, EVER have to sweat over some stoichometry problem or any other math related complicated (for me anyway) conversion problem EVER AGAIN!

Fast foward: Life is laughing at me. In fact, life is laughing so hard at me it can't breath. I'm taking a water resource class and homework is involved. I just downloaded the homework from blackboard and it's 8 pages long and it's all math. It involves graphs, x-cel, conversions, and a whole lot of stuff that I haven't used in years.

I was lost then and I'm super lost now.

At least I have a week to work on it....and cry over it.

First entry....

Almost all of my 'real' friends are not aware I've join VR and maybe that's a good thing since I will feel free to blow off steam on here and not worry about hurting anyone's feelings. I will try to make an attempt to spend more time on here. Hopefully, with Zila's help I'll update my profile and pimp it up some more in coming weeks. But I do have a lot of my plate at the moment. I'm getting married next fall, I'm finishing Grad school and hoping to defend my thesis next semester. My classes, wedding plans, thesis writing, dieting, finances, and other boring stuff is starting to stress me out a bit and the semester just started 2 weeks ago! Anyway, I need some down time to relieve my pent up fears and stress and writing them down will help....at least I hope it does.

VR can be a wonderful place to relax, but a word to the wise, dont get caught up in the drama that is VR.
