I'm awake in the darkness again and how welcoming it is. A time when most are asleep, the world is quiet, and the energy has a peace to it.
Life is full of the mundane-paying bills, doing chores, decompressing from the day that has passed, preparing for the day ahead, wash, rinse, repeat. How much of our lives are wasted on autopilot doing this repeated cycle of existing? I suppose it is the relentless terms of human condition.
In dealing with the above mentioned, how much is taken for granted? How many roses have we passed without smelling? Maybe it's just a reminder to pay attention to the small things that make it all worth it. The brightness of the moon, the change of seasons, the meeting of new friends, simple creature comforts that seem to pause time if only for a moment.
When is the last time you've fully engaged all of your senses?
