This was posted from another journal of mine on another website. Here is the link:

I've written this with a human audience in mind, because most on the other website are, but anyone is welcome to read. I hope it enlightens at least one person, so that I'll feel I've accomplished something.

Did any person every wonder why humans don't live for a very long time? I mean, how long is a hundred years? When you think about it, not very long, and few make it to an entire century. Now look at the vampire. They live for centuries. Why can they?

I've been really thinking about this lately. The reason, I think, why humans don't live so long, is because they wouldn't be able to take it. Immortality is ALWAYS appealing in the beginning. Everyone wishes for it at one point or another, or knows someone who wishes for it. Because of Twilight and all the other most recent stories of the vampire, it seems like the most entertaining thing to be in the world. Especially when your abilities are so limited. Everyone's wanted to be able to punch a hole through a brick wall, run through a forest without being seen, shift into different things and just have fun. Some don't mind drinking blood. Some don't mind staying out of the sun. Some humans believe it's worth it, just because of the power and "elegance" you get.

You all must remember how hard it is today, in this modern age, to be someone like a vampire. People are arrested today. You cannot live without somebody monitoring your every move. And a lot of people judge you by the way you look. In school, kids will, and I mean REALLY WILL ask you "Are you trying to be a vampire?" if you don't like tanning, always wear a black jacket, slip on sunglasses when its sunny out, and keep to yourself all the time. Hell, even your parents will ask it. It's possible to do these things and be human. NOT that I do these things...

Well, I'm only telling those who want to be vampires because it sounds fun, or it's powerful, or you want to look alluring all the time. For most people, especially the average teenager, it's not worth it. And it can be very hard in today's society. Could you, any of you, imagine yourself living a thousand years from now? I know, for some that may even sound appealing, to see what the world will look like in the future. But, will you able to wait out what will never come to you? Could you stand never being able to change, seeing and experiencing all the same things? What do you DO when you can't think of anything else fulfilling? When you run out of things to learn or things to try or places to go? You go BORED. Very bored. And in that boredom, you start to wonder why you ever chose to be undead. You can't find anything to do with yourself, and you feel isolated and condemned from the rest of the world.

I know vampires are real. I don't know any, but I have the belief and think it's as solid as the belief of God. There are real people out there. Proof, you ask? If I gave you the proof, you'd become an even bigger critic than before. Look on Youtube, for all I care. Believe what you will. I know what I believe in.

For those who agree, let me further explain what I know/believe is true:

-Not all drink blood. Some get energy in other ways. NO not from Monster or Gatorade or coffee.

-Sunlight is not deadly, as far as I know. It only burns the eyes, or the skin, like sunburn.

-Crucifixes are also not usually harmful, although some vampires undoubtedly do not follow God for their own strange reasons. I will not blame, accuse, or lecture on religion.

-Garlic, counting grains of rice, and anything related to food DO NOT and will not ever make sense to me or make sense when associated with the vampire.

-They've been around as long as humans. The oldest record of the vampire is in Germany, although I cannot remember how far back it is from, only that it is in early B.C.

-Not all have fangs. Not all are pale. Some look just like humans.

-And just like humans, not all are otherwordly and elegant. Actually, it's nearly impossible to tell a vampire from a human in most circumstances. The only way I can think of finding one is if they tell you. Some, not looking like the classic vampire (you know, Dracula) use the media's image and buy makeup products to look as they think they are meant to. Some are proud and want to show the world, some hide and don't like their "curse," some genuinely believe they are vampire and are not and so dress as one, and some know they are not one and dress as one only for the style.

Now, if you were able to understand all of that, I congragulate you and presume you are either wanting to become a vampire, are a huge critic who seeks to "knock some sense" into the finatics, or have just stumbled onto this journal energy out of chance and are exceptionally good at reading.

Whatever your reason for reading this far, I still thank you for having the patience.

***written primarily for humans who would ruin this website:

I will not give away my sources, because critics would, having nothing else to do with their time, seek to ruin the sources by accusing and pointing fingers. I've seen critics do this to many great organizations, websites, and just about anything they do not like. Critics, please, let people keep their opinions and beliefs. You may think you know the truth. I'm sure you think that. Others think they know too, and it is not really up to anyone to say what is the real truth. Cursing does not solve a problem, as you all must know by now. You cannot force your beliefs on other people. It doesn't even accomplish anything, and you gain nothing by it.

Again, thank you all for your patience and time.

Now, I only write like this when I'm in a really deep mood, so I'll add this in:

XDDD

There. I'M NORMAL, SEE?

If you have any positive opinions or things you'd like to add to this, please, feel free to tell me. I have teh heart to listen to those who truly like to discuss these types of things. I can have a good converstation when I really get into the mood. If you have something very personal or secretive that you would not like others to see, send it in a note rather than a comment here. I'd be more than happy to reply. As long as it is no big, swearing critic, I'm content to answer any questions as well as I can.

If you ask me a question in a comment that I do not wish to answer here, I will send you a note instead.

I'm merely trying to find others who believe what I do. It's as simple as this: people need people to talk to once and awhile.
