do you believe in creatures of the deep? that perhaps there is still something lurking in the depths of a lake, or ocean or body of water we don't know about? I do. I believe in these things, did you know the coelacanth fish was presumed to be extinct for millions of years before they discovered it alive and swimming in the ocean off a african coast, ..70 to 80% of our ocean isn't explored, ..so whats down there? I see in the media giant squid washed ashore.. giant eels fish... one recent story was some scientist tagged some great white sharks and was monitoring them for some time and one of the tagged great white sharks was eaten, it was a 15 ft great white

what was big enough in the ocean to eat it?



before my softball games my dad and I would hike along the Arkansas river and we would find arrowheads and of course my favorite thing to find and catch are soft shell turtles, .I had caught 3 of them and kept them in a aquarium in my backyard and feed them worms one day it rained really bad and filled the aquarium to the brim my softshell turtles swam out and I lost them

which brings me to this VERY short story

my dad as a teen went fishing in the Arkansas of course theres softshell turtles I vouch, some turtles can get as big as a frying pan , as my dad was fishing he saw something move in the distance on the sand bank as he stared at the bank the whole embankment began to move he seen a GIANT softshell turtle run off the bank making a HUGE splash in the water it was huge at over 40 feet away he said it was as big as the top of a car or a little bigger ,..I giggled at the story and was skeptical ...till I went to the zoo where they have a alligator snapping turtle that is HUGE!!!

Animals are unusually unique in sooo many ways and have a lot of sences and capabilities that we don't have . , I admire beauty in all species of animals and I do not kill animals for sport or out of hate ., im the girl that has been almost hit many times on the highway and on public city streets for stopping in the middle of the road to get out to save a terrapin., I coexist in harmony with life around me...there once was a old lady who swallowed the fly kind of thing ,..I don't destroy the spiders that catch my gnats, I don't kill garden snakes that eat mice, I don't kill ladybugs that eat aphids , and I don't use chemicals for a perfect lawn ,it makes me sad to see hundreds of dead earthworms wriggling up out of the ground and dying when your chemlawn is sprayed and hundreds of dried worms litter your pathways., they break down your compost., so im going to b mean here, ..when your family gets sick and developes cancer maybe just maybe.. u might want to consider that the chemlawn guy that comes out and sprays your lawn and puts chemicals around your house and in your water table and killing nature COULD possibly be the culprit , so basically your paying someone to poison you and nature ,gj!

ok ok back to my story....

I have a eye for detail, my dad had it too...

when I see a moth hanging on the side of my porch wall as I put the keys in the door I notice its markings, its delicate fur the antennas that almost look like feathers... some bugs and spiders have the most beautiful brilliant colors or are very unusual

one day my dad was outside messing around and something caught his eye it was a fat bug but it was extremely brilliant.. he said in the sky as it flew it would turn blue and green and diff colors ,..he chased it.. when he got close he said it was the most beautiful beetle he had EVER seen

it was brilliant! the colors on it just was unreal and popped off it , he said the strangest thing that happened was when he tried catching it ,when he went to clasp it in his palms, it flittered and left a brilliant oil slick trail of colors just fluttered off from the wings he said it looked like a rainbow oil slick in the air, ..he said he has never seen anything like it since or anything near like what he had seen

he didn't know what type of beetle bug it was either



I sit and imagine what it could have looked like.

I seen colorful beetles where their caprice was oil slicked a rainbow but nothing like he described

in the philippines, i used to see these flying beetles... they were an iridescent green/ blue color

this journal is a continuation to the topic that one of the VR girls posted in the forum, which is a great topic I might add...strange things that has happened to you or in your life or even know anyone thats experienced something odd....



a group of boys normally wander , ..all boys get on their bikes and explore , ..my dad was one of those kids riding down dirt paths or off into the woods or dragging and crashing his bike as he leaps off it to run someplace , on this particular HOT sunny blistering day my dad and his two friends went bike riding through back allys ,..paths ,..dirt roads , well they decided to ride off down a long dirt road where houses were Very spacious between eachother as they were riding down this road a old house a little delapidated sat between two other houses but a huge distance between them , ... my dad just happened to look up at the house he was peddling by and in the open window stood a woman in all black, ..long black sleeved top black skirt and hat even a cat just starring down at him looking right at him scared the shit out of him and his friends they took off fast . freakd out!, my dad looked back and there was nothing in the window.



after reflecting on the incident what made it soo scary and bizarre was why was a woman wearing long black sleeved top and a hat in blistering heat and staring at them from the sec floor window , it couldn't have been planned, who would dress as a witch in the dead heat in mid summer?
